Likes
- Campus life in college is pretty good and i don't have too much work load in terms of academics and other activities and the overall experience is kind of chill.
- Infrastructure is decent and dont have any problem with that.
Dislikes
- The area surrounding the campus is mostly forest and there are not so much things outside where we can have a visit.
- The campus is so big that sometimes it takes so much time to even get to the classroom complex.
Remarks :
One of the reasons i chose this college is that the environment of this college is beautiful and also it is ranked 5th in the NIRF rankings and there are so many courses available which are also affordable. The admission process is through JEE Advanced exam which you can attempt after clearing the JEE Mains exam and last year cutoff for the general category was 109 marks for JEE Advanced. I prepared for the exam through self study.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because i have an interest in electrical engineering. The faculties in our campus are mostly Phd which are pursuing their research aside from teaching us and their teaching methods are easy to understand and easy to grasp and they are always helpful in acknowledging doubts too. The exams are like that, A class test which consists of 10 marks held in online mode in PC Lab then the mid semester exams having 30 percent weightage then again class test 0f like 20 marks and then the End semester exams having 50 percent weightage. The level of the exams is a bit hard but you can pass through them with practice.
Internships Opportunities :
There are many internships available in my college which you can take part in at the end of the 6 th semester. There are many companies offering internships like google, amazon, microsoft which offer a decent stipend.
Placement Experience :
You have to pass a certain cgpa to be shortlisted for certain placements. Many of the big recruiters like google, amazon, microsoft . Last years average package for my branch was 24 lpa. My plan after college is to also get a decent paying job.

Campus Life :
The well known fest Kshitij of IIT Kharagpur is conducted in the month of January which is basically a techno management fest where peeps get to show their talent in technology. The library of our college is vast with many many books and it also supports a digital library. Almost all of the sport activities are there and there are contests also. There are so many clubs run by students in which you can participate and show your talent to the whole community.
Hostel Facilities :
The quality of mess food is average but the diet is enough. There they have usual food in the menu. The registration process is easy and don't take much time and hastle free. We can rent a room outside campus in kharagpur itself.

Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
