- Some of the class are provided with AC as siliguri is a very hot place. College hosts many big events and students enjoy alot.
- Other Department students are also really friendly and students have great friendship with each other.
Dislikes
- College gate strictly closes at 8:50 so if you are late you have to miss 3 classes you are only allowed to enter in the lunch break.
- You have to pay for everything, even when you go for sports competitions you have to pay transportation fee by yourself. Even in excursion you have to pay for everything. For the ones who are graduating they have to pay money for their robes, certificate and even food and venue isn't that unnecessary?
Remarks :
The college has good reputation as it was NBU and Don Bosco affiliated college. College does not have any kind of cut offs but you have to sit for a written text and interview for the admission. Tge interviews are taken by the HOD and the principal.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course as I was interested in literature and ti learn abut it in depth but it was not what I expected it to be we had to learn more about history. Exams are taken in every 6 months which means each semester is for 6 months and you have to pay your fees in every 3 months and have to do the clearance before exams. The faculty are really good and friendly if you have doubts you can ask them and they will guide you really well.
Placement Experience :
As for now I'm 4th semester we are not provided with any kind of placements but if you are interested you can take help of faculty and apply for internship. The course has many job opportunities like teaching, content writing, book reviewer, translator etc
Campus Life :
The hostel of this college is the worst it is a girls hostel and the warden is very rude. The food is not good and even you have to pay ?500 each month for maintenance you have duties to clean the bathroom, toilet, corridor, stairs by yourself. The hostel has so many unnecessary rules and the warden makes you pay for every little inconvenience. Besides hostel the college itself is ok not that great but ok they have many options for extracurricular activities. College puts lots of efforts for programmes and students enjoy it alot.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
