The college has a Placement and counseling cell which helps the students find Jobs and internship for their respective course. The cell also offers training and awareness programs which helps the students learn soft skills and other job-related skills.
When I took the Admission, I just had to submit my Board exam marks where I had Scored 82%. The Respective department's faculties chooses who to accept and who to reject. You can get admission using CUET Scores. But since the exemption of CUET in the state due to several reasons, admission can be possible with only Board Exams percentage also. But there are chances that in 2025, CUET will be made compulsory for the state. The factors that made me choose this college is pretty much a very huge spectrum. The college acts like a melting pot of different cultures from all over india(mostly from Northeast) creating a vibrant environment. The Campus is also very photogenic and pretty with diverse amount of plants and trees. When I took admission, i didn't had to go through any type of discussions or interviews. But the alleged percentage for getting admission into Arts streams is 80% above and 60% above for science streams.

Read Full ReviewSince it's a college affiliated under NEHU, so there's only graduation course here. But if you want to do masters you have go to NEHU for that. Only then you will get a good placement. But I had friends in other departments they were given the opportunity to sit for placement interview but again the package isn't as high as someone would get after post graduation.
There's just one entrance exam. But if you score good like 95% or above in your H.S then you have a high to get direct admission. Also you have to be very quick with the admission processes because a lots of students used to give entrance there (especially if you not a khasi). When I gave the entrance approximately 80-90 students gave entrance but just few got selected and few were given admission directly.

St Edmund's is known to be one of the best colleges in Shillong and the whole of Meghalaya as well. I have also set my eyes on St Edmund's since the very beginning but I did not expect to actually get in as well. It provides a spacious and big campus which gives students more of a college life feel. The facilities are overall very good and students can achieve a very good learning environment. The admission I did was online and it wasn't hard. They had given instructions on their official website on how to do the admission process so I was able to do it myself. Some courses needed an entrance exam but my course was based on my 12th percentile.
Read Full ReviewCollege doesn’t provide enough jobs placements. But my plan after college is to join Army through Combined Defence Service. CDS exam is conducted twice a year, percentage of getting placement is very less it is based on how you worked hard.
