What's New in AP EAPCET 2025?
The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has announced the APEAPCET 2025 first phase counselling schedule for admissions into B.E./B.Tech/Pharmacy courses (M.P.C. Stream). Eligible candidates can participate in web counselling from July 7 to July 19, 2025. The process includes online registration, payment of processing fee, certificate verification, web options entry, and seat allotment. Candidates must report to their allotted colleges between July 23 and July 26, 2025, while classes are set to begin from August 4, 2025.

AP EAPCET, formally known as EAMCET, is a state-level entrance exam for admission to engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture courses in Andhra Pradesh. AP EAPCET is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada, on behalf of APSCHE.

The weightage system for ranking students in the AP EAPCET exam depends on two factors, i.e., the score in the EAPCET exam and the candidate’s Intermediate Public Examination (IPE) marks.

What is the age limit for AP EAPCET exam?
The minimum age limit for the AP EAPCET exam is at least 16 years of age. The candidate should be of 16 years of age before 31st December, 2025, while there is no upper age limit requirement for the candidates.

AP EAPCET Counselling Fees
The counselling fees for AP EAPCET exam must be payed by the candidates to proceed with the choice-filling process. The method of fee payment can be through a debit card/ credi card or net banking link at the official website via the “ Pay processing Fee Link”

AP EAPCET Normalization Procedure
The examinations for AP EAPCET are held in multiple shifts and this can lead to variation in the difficulty level of the paper. To fix this variation the normalization process is involved. The final rank list is prepared based on the normalized score (75% weightage) and Intermediate (Class 12) marks in relevant subjects (25% weightage).
If there is a tie in scores, ranking is decided based on:
- Higher marks in Mathematics (for Engineering) or Biology (for Agriculture/Pharmacy).
- Higher marks in Physics.
- Higher marks in Chemistry.
- Older candidate given preference.
Example of Normalization Process
Let's assume two candidates, A and B, appeared in different sessions, their normalized scores will be calculated as follows:
