These dates belong to the 2026 cycle. The sequence runs from application and correction to the hall ticket, separate E and AP exams, preliminary key and objections.

Which AP EAPCET Paper Should I Choose?

The E and AP papers lead to overlapping course groups in a few places, but they test different subjects. A student eligible for both could choose Both (E & AP) in one 2026 application. APSCHE asked such candidates to select both together so the same test centre could be considered.

AP EAPCET Eligibility

Under the 2026 rules, a candidate had to be an Indian national, PIO or OCI cardholder, belong to Andhra Pradesh and meet the state local or non-local conditions. The minimum in the specified qualifying subjects taken together was 45%, reduced to 40% for reserved-category candidates. Students awaiting their qualifying-exam result could apply, but the rank was valid only after they passed.

Engineering and MPC Routes

For Engineering and MPC-linked courses, the 2026 booklet accepted Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. It also covered related Engineering and Technology vocational study with the prescribed bridge course, and a recognised Diploma in Engineering.

Agriculture, Pharmacy and BiPC Routes

The 2026 AP paper tested Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry. Food Science & Technology is the important exception to remember: its qualifying combination could include Mathematics, but the AP paper still contained Biology.

AP EAPCET Application Form and Fee

The 2026 form started with fee payment. A candidate then entered the qualifying-exam and personal details, chose E, AP or Both, submitted one application and retained the registration number and filled-in form.

The form asked for the qualifying-exam and SSC hall-ticket numbers, date of birth, Aadhaar number, caste record where applicable, PH/NCC/sports claims, income band, ration card and study or residence proof for local status. The late fee was added to the registration fee and rose from Rs 1,000 to Rs 10,000 across four 2026 deadlines.

AP EAPCET Exam Pattern

Both papers had 160 one-mark MCQs in 180 minutes. That works out to an overall average of 67.5 seconds per question, but APSCHE did not prescribe separate subject timers. Wrong and unanswered responses carried zero, so no marks were deducted.

The Engineering paper had Mathematics 80, Physics 40 and Chemistry 40. The Agriculture & Pharmacy paper had Botany 40, Zoology 40, Physics 40 and Chemistry 40.

AP EAPCET Syllabus

The official 2026 syllabus PDFs give the unit and topic coverage, but they do not publish chapter-wise question percentages. The only fixed weightage is at subject level: Mathematics is half of the E paper, while each AP subject is one quarter.

Biology covered 13 Botany units and 16 Zoology units, running from diversity and plant structure to human physiology, genetics, evolution and applied biology.

How to Turn the Pattern Into a Study Plan

An Engineering candidate has 80 Mathematics questions, so Mathematics cannot be treated like either 40-question subject. In the AP paper, all four subjects carry 40 questions; a weak quarter of the paper cannot be hidden by one strong Biology half.

• For E: keep daily Mathematics problem-solving separate from shorter Physics and Chemistry revision blocks. Full-paper mocks should test whether the 80-question Mathematics section leaves enough time for the other 80 questions.
• For AP: track Botany and Zoology separately. A combined Biology score can hide a weak subject even though each contributes the same 40 marks as Physics or Chemistry.
• For Both: Physics and Chemistry are the common base. Mathematics and Biology need independent question practice because the two papers are held separately.
• For paper analysis: note the unit, error type and time used after each paper. Repeated errors reveal the chapters that need work; an unsupported weightage chart does not.

Use the shift-wise AP EAPCET 2026 question papers with solutions after completing a unit group. Start untimed for method, then move to 180-minute papers and compare accuracy by subject.

AP EAPCET Qualifying Marks and Rank

The 2026 qualifying mark was 25% of 160, equal to 40 marks. SC and ST candidates had no prescribed minimum, but admission under this relaxation was limited to seats reserved for those categories.

Qualifying did not decide the final order. The 2026 rank used 75% normalized AP EAPCET marks and 25% 10+2 marks. Normalization matters because the test runs in several sessions. The rank was valid only for admission in the 2026-27 academic year.

What Happens After the Rank Card?

The AP EAPCET convener handled the 2026 examination; the Commissioner of Technical Education handled admissions. Participating institutes, course-wise intake and reservation details belonged to the separate counselling process.

The admission stage checks the rank together with the student's course eligibility, category, local area and option order. College and branch availability can change between counselling rounds, so a closing rank from one category, local area or round cannot be applied to another.
