DU B.Ed 2023 Registration

candidates can go for DU B.Ed 2023 online registration on its official website and the process of registration is given below:

  • Visit the official website (http://doe.du.ac.in/).
  • Click the ‘New User Registration available on the postgraduate admission Portal.
  • This will redirect the candidate to a form where candidates have to fill up all required fields and register themselves.
  • After successful registration, candidates can download the B.Ed prospectus.
  • Click the ‘Apply Online link and fill in your personal and education details along with relevant attachments in the form.
  • Candidates have to select the subject category, a teaching subject of preference, and the center of examination.
  • Candidates have to upload their scanned photograph and signature of specific size and dimension as per instructions available on the same page.
  • The application process is completed by making payment of the application fee using a debit card/ credit card/ net banking or through a bank challan at any SBI branch.
  • After the registration process is completed, candidates should download the application form for future reference and keep the login id and password generated post-registration.

DU B.Ed 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for DU B.Ed varies according to the category. The same is shared below for candidates’ reference:

Category I
  • Candidates must be an Indian citizen.
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in bachelor’s degree/ master’s degree in Humanities/ Commerce/ Science/ Social Science or any other equivalent qualification from some recognized university.
Category II
  • Candidates must be an Indian citizen.
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or specialization in Mathematics and Science with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or any other equivalent qualification from some recognized university.

Eligibility for Choosing Teaching subject

While choosing a teaching subject, candidates have to select a subject which they must have studied in the last qualifying examination for 200 marks and must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. The selection of subjects by the candidate will be considered final for merit list preparation and allocation of the institute for study. This subject chosen by the candidate will be considered as the teaching subject and will be treated as final for the whole duration of the B.Ed program.

DU B.Ed 2023 Admit Card

DU B.Ed 2023 admit card would be released in the 2nd week of June 2023. Candidates can download their admit card from the official website (du.ac.in) after logging in using their credentials. Some key details of the DU B.Ed 2023 admit card are listed below:

  • Candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria and applying for DU B.Ed 2023 within the stipulated time and date are issued DU B.Ed admit card.
  • Only those candidates who carry their admit card in the examination center are allowed to enter the examination center and appear for the entrance.
  • The admit card contains the exam date, time, center, and guidelines for the DU B.Ed 2023.

DU B.Ed 2023 Answer key

Once DU B.Ed 2023 entrance is over, DU would release the provisional answer key. However, candidates can challenge such answer keys using the below-mentioned procedure:

  • Candidates need to visit the official website and login into their profile using their application form number and date of birth.
  • On successful login, the candidate’s response sheet and answer key for 2023 would be available.
  • Candidates can register their challenge by clicking the ‘Add Challenge’ and filling in the challenge using Question ID and Nature of Challenge available as a drop-down option.
  • Candidates have to attach essential supporting documents while challenging the answer key and pay the requisite fee (INR 200) through credit/debit card/ net banking.
  • Challenge submitted without paying a fee or supporting documents will not be entertained.

DU B.Ed 2023 Result

Delhi University would release DU B.Ed 2023 results in the 2nd week of July 2023 on its official website and information for the same is given below:

  • Candidates belonging to general category have to score 20 out of 100 while candidates have to score 18 out of 100 in the entrance.
  • Candidates will be allotted institution based on rank in the merit list, category of candidate, availability of seats, subject category, and preference of institution.
  • The merit list published on the website does not indicate the final selection for admission.

DU B.Ed 2023 Tie-Breaking Criteria

At times, two or more candidates may score the same in the DU B.Ed entrance. Delhi University has certain rules to break the tie, which is mentioned below:

  • For each subject there would be a different merit list based on the rank of the candidate in the entrance exam and the number of seats available.
  • For instance, a high-rank candidate from Science/ Social Science may get a high seat compared to a candidate with a low rank from the Home Science category.
  • If there is a tie between two candidates, the candidate with higher age is given preference.
  • Factors controlling admission to various institutions are based on merit in the entrance test, availability of teaching subjects across institutions, candidate’s category, subject category, and candidate’s preference of institutions. Once a candidate is allotted an institution, no further change request is accepted.
  • No change request is accepted from one admission list to another.
  • Mutual interchange of institutions among candidates is also not allowed.

DU B.Ed 2023 Cut Off

As per the prevailing trend, candidates are required to score a minimum score (cut-off) to be declared qualified. However, this may vary depending on a number of parameters- number of applications received, availability of seats, and previous years' cut-off.

DU B.Ed 2023 Counseling

Delhi University starts the counseling process once the merit list is published. Shortlisted candidates have to appear at the stipulated date and time to the allotted institution with the following supporting documents:

  • Admit Card of Entrance Test
  • Application/Registration Form printout
  • Photo ID proof
  • 2 latest colored passport size photograph
  • Original and two sets of photocopies of High School/Secondary School Certificate, mark sheets of graduation and post-graduation (if applicable), Reservation certificate from a competent authority (if applicable), Character certificate from the last attended institution, No Objection Certificate for an employed candidate.

Candidates taking admission into institutions offering B.Ed are not allowed to take up any type of employment (full-time/part-time). Candidates engaged in any type of employment have to submit a valid sanction of leave from their present employer.

DU B.Ed 2023 Reservation Criteria

  • The seats which are reserved for SC/ ST candidates will be allotted to these reserved category candidates only.
  • If no suitable candidate belonging to a reserved category is found, the reserved seat is swapped between SC and ST candidates.
  • Seats reserved for OBC candidates would be made available to OBC candidates only. In case no suitable candidate is found, the same is converted to a general category seat.
  • Spouses/ Wards of the eligible armed forces personnel including Para Military forces are offered a 5% reservation of seats.
