DU B.Ed Application Dates 2026

DU's first allocation was followed by later rounds. The dates above describe the main registration window and first round, not every subsequent vacancy or spot round.

Who Could Apply for DU B.Ed?

An applicant needed an eligible qualifying degree, the required overall percentage and a suitable teaching subject. On the bachelor's/master's route, the aggregate threshold was 50% for UR/OBC/EWS and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD. The Engineering/Technology route required Science and Mathematics specialisation with 55% or 50% respectively.

For the teaching subject, DU required at least 200 marks or 8 credits in core/elective study and at least 50% in that subject. Commerce specified M.Com.; Home Science had its own degree list and was offered only at Lady Irwin College. Management and Law degrees were not eligible qualifying routes.

The B.Ed course has different admission rules across universities. For DU, the relevant CUET paper must match the chosen teaching subject; another university's acceptance of COQP03 does not establish DU eligibility.

Step 1: Apply for the Correct CUET PG Paper

Registration for CUET PG takes place through NTA. Create the application, complete personal and academic details, choose the test paper, upload the required files and pay the examination fee. Save the generated confirmation page; an unfinished form or a debit message alone is not the same as a completed application.

The NTA test list contains both general B.Ed and pedagogy-specific papers. Match the code, not just the word B.Ed. Changing your DU preference later cannot create a score for a CUET paper you did not take.

Step 2: Register Separately on DU CSAS(PG)

DU admission registration is handled at pgadmission.uod.ac.in. The CUET PG application number is mandatory. Register with the CUET application and roll numbers, name, date of birth, email address and mobile number, then complete the profile, apply to the programme and pay its registration fee.

1. Match the personal details to the CUET scorecard and academic documents.
2. Complete the academic and category sections with supporting certificates.
3. Select B.Ed and the eligible programme/institution preferences offered to you.
4. Preview the application before submitting the programme choice.
5. Pay the DU registration fee and retain the application/payment record.

DU's 2026 process included auto-integration of identity details through DigiLocker/API Setu. Imported fields were non-editable. A correction window should not be treated as permission to rewrite every field, change the exam taken or bypass a missing qualification.

CUET PG examination fee

Bank/payment-gateway charges and applicable GST were additional. The NTA fee covers the entrance examination, not DU admission.

DU CSAS registration fee

The CSAS registration fee is non-refundable. After a seat is allocated and approved, the institution's admission fee is a further payment. Do not treat₹250 or₹100 as the full B.Ed course fee.

Documents for DU B.Ed Registration

For teaching-subject eligibility, a consolidated percentage may not show enough detail. Keep semester-wise marksheets that identify the subject, papers, credits and marks. If a university reports grades, use its recognised conversion method rather than inventing a percentage.

An OBC state-list entry alone is not enough for DU's OBC-NCL claim. The caste must be on the Central List, and the 2026 CSAS document list required the OBC-NCL certificate to be issued after 31 March 2026. Names on the category certificate, school certificate and CUET record must match.

Uploaded copies support the online decision; original documents are required for physical verification. A readable upload does not replace the original certificate.

Application Corrections and Payment Problems

NTA corrections ran from 28 to 30 January 2026. DU's later correction window ran from 10 June, 10 am until 11 June, 11:59 pm after the closing-time extension. These were separate windows for separate systems.

For a payment query, retain the date, amount, transaction number and bank reference. Do not send a second payment to a personal bank account or an unofficial link. The completed programme application and fee status should appear in the DU dashboard.

Preferences, Seat Acceptance and Admission

Rank only the programme/institution combinations for which you qualify and that you would accept. Subject availability matters: Sociology is confined to CIE; Punjabi and Urdu to Maharshi Valmiki; Home Science to Lady Irwin. A preferred college cannot offer an unavailable teaching subject.

When a seat is allocated, accept it by the stated deadline. The institution then checks eligibility and documents. Respond to any dashboard query and pay the admission fee after approval within the payment window. Simply seeing an allocation does not complete admission.

Keep the DU application, CUET scorecard and admission-payment receipt together. They belong to different stages and may be needed when the institution verifies your admission.
