IMU CET 2023 Counselling

The IMU organizes online counselling for admission in various UG Programmes (Except BBA), M.Tech, and MBA programmes. All the qualified candidates who have their names in the IMU CET rank list must register for the IMU CET Counselling 2023 by paying INR 10,000 as a counselling fee before the deadline. The seat allocation IMU CET counselling is done based on the candidate’s rank, social category and seat availability.

The IMU conducts counselling only for admission to its six campuses. Candidates who want to get admission to Institutes Affiliated with IMU or other DGS-approved Maritime Training Institutes (MTIs) may approach their desired institute separately after obtaining Rank Certificate issued by IMU.

IMU CET 2023 Counselling Process

IMU CET Counselling Process comprises various steps, such as registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, etc. Candidates must complete each step before the stipulated date to secure a seat for admission. Details regarding the process of IMU CET counselling 2023 are given below.

Step 1: Registration

After the announcement of the rank list, candidates must do the IMU CET counselling registration before the deadline. Candidates can register themselves using their Applicant ID and password generated at the time of IMU CET registration. Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable amount of INR 10,000 as a registration fee. The IMU CET counselling fee can be paid online through credit card, debit card, or net banking.

How to Register for IMU CET Counselling 2023?

Follow the below-mentioned steps for IMU CET counselling Registration 2023:

• Visit the official website of IMU at imu.edu.in
• Click on the link for the IMU CET counselling registration 2023 available on the homepage.
• Login using your applicant ID and Password to start the registration process.
• Enter all the necessary details in the registration form.
• Upload the scanned copies of the required documents in the prescribed format.
• Pay the online counselling fees to complete the registration process.
• Submit the registration form and take a printout of the same for future use.

Note: If the candidate is not allotted any seat during the counselling process, he/she will get a refund amount of INR 9,000 from the paid counselling fees.

Step 2: Choice Filling

Post the completion of registration, candidates are also required to select their preferred courses and campus. The choice filling for the programmes and campuses must be in order of preference. Candidates can select multiple programmes and IMU campuses to increase their chances of seat allotment. The seat allocation for the candidate is done based on the order of preference filled by the candidate.

Step 3: Seat Allotment Procedure

After the conclusion of the registration process and choice filling, the authorities release the admission list for all the registered candidates. The seats are allotted based on the choices filled by the candidate, their rank, social category, and seat availability. Candidates who are satisfied with their seat or want to be considered for further admission lists are required to confirm their seat by paying the non-refundable programme fee of INR 30,000.

After the payment of the programme fee, candidates can select is they want to upgrade to the next admission list or not. Candidates who fail to confirm their seat before the deadline are not considered for the Upgradation and they cannot claim a refund of the counselling fees (INR 10,000). The provisional allotment letter is issued for candidates who confirm their seats.

• Visit the official website of IMU at imu.edu.in
• Click on the link of the ‘Admission List’ of your applied course from the homepage.
• The admission list will be displayed on the screen.
• Download the admission list for future reference or select ‘click here to confirm’ to confirm your seat for admission.

Step 4: Document Verification

After the successful payment of the programme fee, the candidate must report at the allotted IMU campuses for document verification, confirmation of medical fitness and payment of the first semester fees and caution deposit. Candidates are required to appear before the Director of the respective campus with all the original certificates as per the dates mentioned in their Provisional Allotment Letter.
