SVCE Admission Process

B.E. and B.Tech seats at SVCE are divided equally between two admission channels. TNEA fills 50% through the government quota, while the college fills the other 50% directly under the management quota. Postgraduate admission is linked to TANCET or GATE scores.

B.E./B.Tech Admission Through the TNEA Government Quota

Applicants must have completed Class 12 from a recognised Tamil Nadu board and secured at least a 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. This route is open only to students who studied Class 12 in Tamil Nadu. TNEA does not conduct a separate entrance test because ranks are prepared from Class 12 PCM marks.

  • Stage 1: Create an account on tneaonline.org and enter the required Class 12 marks.
  • Stage 2: Wait for the TNEA rank prepared from the Class 12 Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics aggregate.
  • Stage 3: Add SVCE, the preferred engineering branch and the required quota during choice filling.
  • Stage 4: After receiving an allotment, report to the college with the original documents.

Competition for TNEA seats is usually stronger in CSE, ECE, and AI and Data Science. Mechanical, Civil, and Automobile Engineering generally remain accessible to students with mid-range TNEA ranks.

B.E./B.Tech Admission Through the Management Quota

The management quota accounts for 50% of SVCE seats, which is a larger share than at most self-financing colleges in Tamil Nadu. Applicants need at least a 50% aggregate in Class 12 PCM, and no entrance examination is required. Students from outside Tamil Nadu may apply by providing a nativity certificate.

  • Submit a direct application through svce.ac.in and check the available management quota seats.
  • SVCE assigns seats according to merit in Class 12 marks.
  • The first-year management quota fee for most branches is INR 1,93,200.

M.E./M.Tech Admission

For an M.E. or M.Tech course, students must hold a B.E. or B.Tech degree in the relevant subject. Tamil Nadu residents may use a TANCET score, while a GATE score is also accepted. Anna University manages the postgraduate counselling process.
