February 28, 2025: KL University has announced the Phase 3 exam dates for KLEEE 2025, with applications open until March 22, 2025. Read Full News.
KLEEE 2027 Phase I will be held from 3 to 7 December 2026 for admission to the 2027-28 academic year. The application form is open, and the last date to apply for Phase I is 2 December 2026. KL Deemed to be University will issue the online admit card between 2 and 6 December.
The engineering paper has 75 questions: 25 each from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The test time is three hours. Phase II and Phase III dates have not been announced. Applications cost INR 1,000.
KLEEE is the KL Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by KL Deemed to be University. Its score is used for engineering admission at the university's campuses. The university conducts the exam in phases, so applicants get more than one chance to take part in the admission cycle.
A KLEEE score is not the only way to apply for BTech. The university also accepts JEE Main, JEE Advanced, recognised state engineering entrance exams and Uni-GAUGE scores. Students applying through another score still have to meet the Class 12 rules and take part in KL University counselling.
Phase I starts before the 2027 calendar year because it belongs to the 2027-28 admission cycle. The exam will run for five days in December 2026. The exact date and other test details allotted to a candidate will appear on the admit card.
| KLEEE 2027 event | Date or status |
|---|---|
| Phase I application deadline | 2 December 2026 |
| Phase I admit card | 2 to 6 December 2026 |
| Phase I exam | 3 to 7 December 2026 |
| Phase II dates | Not announced |
| Phase III dates | Not announced |
Phase II and III application, admit-card and exam dates will be added after they are announced. They should not be estimated from an older admission cycle.
The KLEEE 2027 application form is available online. The fee is INR 1,000 and is not refunded after payment. Indian applicants and NRI, PIO and OCI applicants can register.
Most details can be corrected later, but the registered email address and mobile number cannot be changed. The programme preference entered in the form does not lock the final branch. The programme is selected during counselling, based on eligibility, score, choices and seat availability.
Eligibility changes by course. The marks needed in Class 12 and the required subjects are different for BTech, BArch and BPharmacy.
BTech applicants need to pass Class 12 or an equivalent exam with at least 60% overall and at least 60% in the group subjects. PCM students can apply for all BTech programmes, including Biotechnology. PCB students can apply for BTech Biotechnology and BPharmacy.
Admission can be based on KLEEE, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, a recognised state engineering entrance exam or Uni-GAUGE. Merit in sports or cultural activities may also be considered. An accepted score does not remove the Class 12 marks and subject requirements.
BArch applicants need more than 60% in Class 12 and a valid NATA score. The university also asks applicants to qualify in its entrance process. Architecture admission remains subject to the course rules applied during counselling.
BPharmacy applicants need at least 60% overall in Class 12 and at least 60% in PCM or PCB. The current admission rules also require the university entrance test. PCB applicants should select the biology-based paper shown for the course.
| Course | Class 12 marks and subjects | Entrance requirement |
|---|---|---|
| BTech | 60% overall and 60% in group subjects; PCM for all branches, PCB for Biotechnology | KLEEE or another accepted engineering entrance score |
| BArch | More than 60% in Class 12 | NATA and the university entrance requirement |
| BPharmacy | 60% overall and 60% in PCM or PCB | University entrance test |
KLEEE has 75 questions and a test time of 180 minutes. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry have 25 questions each. This gives all three subjects the same number of questions.
| Particular | KLEEE pattern |
|---|---|
| Duration | 180 minutes |
| Subjects | Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry |
| Total questions | 75 |
| Questions per subject | 25 |
| Question type | Multiple-choice questions in the official model paper |
| Difficulty reference | JEE level |
The 2027 marking rule has not been published separately. The official model paper gives equal marks to all questions and has no negative marking. The instructions issued for the 2027 test will decide the final rule.
The KLEEE syllabus covers Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at the higher-secondary level. It is broad enough to include both Class 11 and Class 12 topics. The paper can therefore test basic concepts, direct formula use and multi-step numerical problems from the same subject.
Mathematics includes algebra, trigonometry, coordinate geometry, calculus, vectors, probability and statistics. Important areas include complex numbers, quadratic equations, sequences and series, matrices, limits, differentiation, integration, differential equations, straight lines, circles and three-dimensional geometry.
Physics begins with units, measurements, vectors and mechanics. It also covers gravitation, properties of matter, heat and thermodynamics, waves, optics, electricity, magnetism, electromagnetic induction, atomic physics and semiconductor electronics. Numerical questions may combine a formula with unit conversion or a graph-based idea.
Chemistry includes physical, inorganic and organic chemistry. The main areas include atomic structure, chemical bonding, states of matter, solutions, thermodynamics, equilibrium, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, periodic properties, coordination compounds, hydrocarbons, functional groups, biomolecules and polymers.
The complete unit list is available in the KLEEE syllabus PDF. The same PDF also carries biology topics for the separate biology-based paper; they are not part of the 75-question KLEEE PCM pattern.
The Phase I admit card will be available online from 2 to 6 December 2026. It will confirm the candidate's exam date and the instructions that apply to the allotted test. Applicants should use the same login details created during registration.
The 2027 exam mode and complete test-centre list have not been published on the current admission page. The details on the admit card will be final for the candidate.
KLEEE 2027 results will be released online after the exam. The Phase I result date has not been announced. Candidates will be able to sign in with their application login details and check the score or rank used for counselling.
A result makes the candidate eligible for the next admission step; it does not guarantee a particular branch. Final admission depends on eligibility, counselling, available seats and fee payment.
Counselling is used to confirm the course, campus and branch after the entrance result. Students applying with KLEEE or another accepted engineering score take part under the rules announced for the 2027-28 admission cycle.
The course selected while filling the application is only an initial preference. The final choice is made during counselling. A seat depends on the candidate's score, Class 12 eligibility, preferred programme and the seats available at that time.
KL University offers merit and special scholarships. Entrance-exam performance and previous academic marks can be considered. The full 2027 course-wise scholarship slabs have not been published on the current admission page, so an older rank table should not be treated as the final fee rule for 2027-28.
The scholarship amount, course, campus and conditions need to match the written offer given during admission. Hostel, mess and other charges may be separate from the tuition fee covered by a scholarship.
