KIMS Bhubaneswar received Best Hospital Ranking 2022 in the top league

Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Bhubaneswar has been ranked by a number of ranking institutes in the world. It has been recently awarded the rank of the 5th Best Multi-Speciality Medical Facility in Eastern India. The award was given by the prestigious English periodical Outlook magazine.

The Outlook magazine also awarded the KIMS Bhubaneswar College with the Health Best Hospital Ranking 2022. This rank was presented by Outlook magazine in collaboration with the NEB Research. They had kept the Orthopaedics Department of KIMS in an All-India 6th rank and Paediatrics Department in 9th place. These steps were taken by the Outlook Magazine and the NEB Research reaffirm the KIMS commitment to offering quality and affordable treatment to the community. The ranking of the Outlook Magazine has also placed both the Gastroenterology and Neurology Departments in the 10th position and Cardiology in the 12th in All-India rank respectively. 

Talking about the starting of the KIMS, Bhubaneswar one can say that it had made a humble beginning in 2007 under the leadership of Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of the KIIT & KISS. His main role in the KIMS was as a member of the constituent School of Medical Sciences under KIIT Deemed-to-be-University and today with people’s trust, goodwill, and wider recognition it has emerged as one of Eastern India’s biggest healthcare service providers. The whole Team of the KIMS has a huge workforce to support the medical college and its constituent hospital. It has a total of 1,500 doctors, a comparison of 950 highly trained nursing professionals, and 900 paramedics. Adding to these mentioned existing strengths, there are 1,000 in non-medical and support areas like patient care, IT, finance, insurance claims, and others.

With a great sense of satisfaction at the achievement, Dr. Samanta thanked the doctors and medical staff of KIMS for their hard work and dedication, which resulted in the impressive position of KIMS in this prestigious ranking.
