New Benchmarks in Healthcare services CM inaugurates KIMS Super Speciality Hospital & Cancer Centre

Recently, KIMS created a new benchmark by establishing KIMS Super Speciality Hospital and the KIMS Cancer Centre with state-of-art infrastructure and high-end facilities. Both the KIMS Super Speciality Hospital & Cancer Center are inaugurated by Odisha Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik on dated 29th July 2022. It is a hospital with state-of-art infrastructure and high-end facilities. The inauguration takes place in the presence of Naba Kishore Das, Minister of Health and Family Welfare Govt. Of Odisha, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT, KISS & KIMS.

The Odisha Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik undertook a trip around the KIMS campus on a battery-operated vehicle and appreciated the new facilities present on the campus of the KIMS during his visit. The Odisha CM also appraised the patient-friendly initiatives taken by KIMS.

Recently, the Infrastructure of KIMS expanded by 1600 beds in a fully air-conditioned hospital for the general public and economically weaker section people. The modern complexes of the KIMS will offer the most advanced healthcare services to patients coming from Odisha as well as the neighboring states such as West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand.

The 300-bed Super Speciality Hospital of KIMS will have 12 Super Speciality departments. The various departments present in the Super Speciality Hospital are Cardiology; Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS); Gastroenterology and Hepatology; Urology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Endocrinology, Surgical Gastroenterology; Nephrology and Kidney Transplant; Clinical Immunology, and Rheumatology; Orthopaedics and Spinal Surgery and Plastic Surgery.

The 300-bed center of the Super Speciality Hospital of KIMS will be headed by acclaimed radiation oncologist Prof Bidhu Kalyan Mohanti. The people from Odisha would get a lot of help in the Health Sector. They do not have to go outside of Odisha due to the treatment purpose. This is because it has five distinct Super Speciality Departments, namely, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Oncology, and Palliative Care.
