DAV University Jalandhar is inviting applications for PhD Admission 2024 in multiple specialisation. Candidates can download the application form through the DAV University website. Selection will be based on the PhD Entrance Test and Interview conducted by the university. The application fee of INR 1000 needs to be paid at the time of submission.

DAV University PhD Eligibility

  • Candidates must have a Master’s Degree or equivalent from any Indian or Foreign Institution with at least 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grade.
  • Candidates with a 4-year bachelor’s degree should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade are eligible to apply.
  • A relaxation of 5% marks or equivalent grade is provided to candidates belonging to SC / ST/ OBC-NCL / PwD / EWS categories.

DAV University PhD Admission Process

  • Candidates are required to submit the filled-in application form along with the other relevant documents to the DAV University Jalandhar as per the schedule.
  • The envelope containing the required documents must be superscribed as, “Application For Admission to PhD (Full Time / Part Time) in the Department of (specify the name of the department).”
  • Candidates who have cleared the NET / JRF exam will be exempted from the entrance test. The marks obtained in the NET will be valid for a period of one year for admission to the PhD programme except for JRF. However, they are required to fill out the application form to be considered for an Interview.
  • The entrance test will consist of 60 MCQs of one mark each. The test will include 30 questions on research methodology and 30 questions on the respective subject.
  • Candidates who have qualified in the entrance test will be called for personal interviews.
  • Candidates are required to discuss their research interest / area through a presentation before a duly constituted Committee.
