Gautam Buddha University admission is open for PhD Courses in various specialisations. The last date to submit the online application forms and seek admission to the Even Semester 2024-25 PhD course is December 30, 2024.

GBU will conduct the entrance test tentatively in the first week of January 2025. Post-graduates with a minimum of 55% marks are eligible for admission.

GBU PhD Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate must have a master's degree or equivalent in the relevant field.
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in the master's degree (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
  • Candidate must have a valid score in Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) through UGC/CSIR/DBT/ICAR-ASRB Examination (for exemption from entrance test).
  • Candidate must have a research proposal (approx. 1500 words) at the time of interview.
  • Candidate must have a list of publications or other research credentials (if any).
  • Candidate must have a minimum of two years of teaching and/or research experience from National Institutes of Higher Learning/Universities/Central Laboratories or two years’ experience from Industry/R&D of industry at an appropriate level (for working professionals).
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks in the entrance test (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
  • Candidate must have a valid score on the entrance test (GBU-ET 2024).

GBU PhD Admission Procedure

  • The online application form and PhD admission information are available on the University website.
  • The application fee can be paid through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI.
  • Candidates must read the Ph.D. Admission Information carefully, check their eligibility, and applicable reservation category before filling and submitting the application form.
  • The admit card will be made available through the online mode only.
  • All communication will be done through the Email and phone number provided at the time of registration.
  • The result of admission declared by the University shall be final and binding upon the candidates.
