Sharda School of Humanities and Social Sciences and Dean Student Welfare jointly organized International Yoga Day on campus. During this, foreign students and staff participated enthusiastically in the event at Sharda University. The eventful day featured a series of yoga sessions which is suitable for all levels. The event is led by certified yoga instructors. The Yoga Day has something for everyone, as people can choose from a wide range of yoga styles including Vinyasa, Hatha, and Yin. The sessions have given the participants a holistic experience that has emphasized meditation, different physical postures, and breathing exercises.

The Pro Chancellor of Sharda University, Dr. YK Gupta began the celebration with an address welcoming all the participants. He emphasized in his speech that Yoga is not just a form of exercise but it is a way of life that teaches you to have balance, harmony, and peace. He said, "Yoga is not just a form of exercise; it is a way of life that promotes balance, peace, and harmony. Our university is proud to host this event and encourage our community to embrace the benefits of yoga”. From young children to elderly people, everyone should do yoga these days. The main mantra to succeed in life is to practice yoga. Yoga in India has an extensive history that has an important aspect of the Vedas and Indian culture. The credit for the global recognition of Yoga’s importance goes to the teachers of Indian yoga.

The Dean of Sharda School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. (Dr.) Anviti Gupta has spoken on the occasion and expressed the joy of getting together with each other to refresh and relax through Yoga. He also emphasized the importance of practicing Yoga on a daily basis. He said, “The event today has been a great way for us to get together, relax, and refresh. We practice yoga daily, yoga is an integral part of our campus culture." These kinds of gatherings bring together staff, teachers, and students during a day focused on belonging, well-being, and mindfulness.

During the program, Dr. Bhuvnesh Kumar, Dean of Research; Dr. Ajit Kumar, Director PR; Dr. Pramod Kumar, Dr. Kapil Dave, and many others were also present.
