Eligibility Criteria For PhD

To be eligible for Shri Rawatpura Sarkar University Admission in PhD, the following criteria must be fulfilled be the candidates:-

  • Candidates must have a Master's degree or an equivalent qualification with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade 'B' on the UGC 7-point scale) from a recognized institution. Equivalent degrees from foreign institutions must be accredited by an authorized agency.
  • A relaxation of 5% in marks (from 55% to 50%) or equivalent grade is allowed for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer), differently-abled candidates, and others as per UGC regulations.
  • The relaxation of 5% is applicable for candidates who obtained their Master's degree before September 19, 1991, and is based solely on qualifying marks, excluding grace marks.

Admission Procedure For PhD

  • Candidates who qualify for fellowship/scholarship through UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET (with or without JRF), GATE, GPAT, CEED, SLET, or similar national-level exams are eligible for admission based on an interview.
  • Admission is also conducted through a university-level entrance test, with the syllabus comprising 50% research methodology and 50% subject-specific content.
  • Candidates securing at least 50% marks in the entrance test are eligible to be called for an interview.
  • A 5% relaxation in entrance test marks is provided for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer), differently-abled, and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates as per university guidelines.
  • Final selection is based on a 70% weightage for entrance test marks and 30% for performance in the interview/viva voce.
