As candidates eagerly await the release of MHT CET 2024 result, it will be beneficial for them to know the process that goes behind the score calculation. MHT CET result 2024 will consist of the overall and subject wise percentiles derived after normalisation of MHT CET 2024 scores.

Conversion of raw scores into MHT CET normalised scores

As MHT CET PCM and PCB exams extend over multiple days and sessions, there occurs a variation in the difficulty level of papers. To counter this so that none of the students are at an advantage (after getting a relatively easier paper) or disadvantaged (after getting a tougher paper), Maharashtra CET Cell will employ the process of normalisation in MHT CET 2024.

Conversion of normalised scores into MHT CET percentile score

Once the normalised scores are obtained, it is converted into percentiles. MHT CET percentile scores represent the relative performance of candidates, that is, it shows the percentage of students who have scored below that particular score. MHT CET percentile score for both overall and subject wise is calculated upto 5 decimal points to minimise the chance of ties. The below provided formula is used for the calculation process.
