How to Apply for MHT CET Counselling 2026?

The counselling process is initiated after the completion of the online application process for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).

STEP 1 - MHT CET Counselling 2026 Registration

You need to visit the official website and register for the MHT CET Counselling 2026. You have to fill in the following details for MHT CET counselling registration:

• Personal Details: Name of the candidate, Gender, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Religion, Region, Mother Tongue, Annual Income of the family
• Contact Details: Address of the candidate, Mobile Number, Email ID, Category Details
• Category: Maharashtra State Candidature (Type A/ B/ C/ D/ E), OMS, J&K Migrants, Foreign Students, NRI, PIO/ OCI, CIWGC, GoI
• Qualification: Provide educational details of your class 10th and 12th

STEP 2 - Uploading of Documents for Online Document Verification

You will have to upload the documents before the last date of CAP registration. The document verification will be conducted online. You will receive an SMS after your documents are verified.

STEP 3 - Pay MHT CET Counselling Fees 2026

You can pay the MHT CET application fee through net banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/Mobile wallets:

• Foreign Nationals/NRI/OCI/PIO: INR 5000

STEP 4 - Display of Provisional MHT CET Merit List

After successful verification of the application form, the exam authority will release the MHT CET Provisional Merit List. The provisional MHT CET merit list is prepared based on the rank secured by you in MHT CET 2026.

• Candidates whose names are on the provisional merit list are eligible to participate in the subsequent rounds of the MHT CET Counselling process.
• If you have any discrepancy with the provisional merit list, you can raise an objection with the concerned authority.

STEP 5 - Display of MHT CET Final Merit List

After taking into consideration the objections to the provisional merit list, the CET cell will release the MHT CET Final Merit List.

STEP 6 - Display of Category-Wise Seats

After the publication of the MHT CET final merit list, the category-wise seats or seat matrix are released for CAP rounds.

STEP 7 - MHT CET Choice Filling

The choice of institute and subject for MHT CET 2026 has to be filled out online on the official website.

• This selection of choice is to be done in order of preference.
• Allotment of seats is done based on choice filling, and thus, you are advised to carefully fill in your choice.

STEP 8 - MHT CET 2026 Seat Allotment

MHT CET seat allotment will be done in 3 CAP rounds through CAP counselling. Seat allotment will be based on:

• The rank secured by the candidate in the entrance
• The preference of the college of the student
• The availability of seats

Once the merit list is declared, you have to report to the allotted institute and complete all formalities related to admission.

• Those who have been allocated a seat as per the first option will have to accept the seat allotment and pay the admission fee.
• Those who have not been allocated a seat as per the first option can participate in subsequent rounds by choosing 'Not Freeze'.
• You can either self-freeze the already allocated seat or reject it.
