In case of two candidates securing the same percentile or score, the tie-breaking rule usually follows one or more of these rules:

MHT CET 2026 Score Normalization
In the MHT CET exam, a candidate’s performance assessment is done in terms of both raw score and score normalisation.
- The raw scores are calculated on the basis of the number of correct answers.
- Normalisation is done to ensure fairness by adjusting scores across different exam shifts.
- Each correct answer carries 1 mark, except for Mathematics, which carries 2 marks.
- There is no negative marking.
For MHT CET Raw score calculation, the following formula is used :
