There weren't any such factors as I was clearly in mind way before my 12th which course I needed to opt for and considering the job market and everything I was looking for the cheapest option available in Haldwani which would be value for money so I took admission in this college. No, I didn't face any GD or interview the admission process or simple and smooth with a little effort and documents I got the admission.
In my opinion, the course curriculum is a perfect fit for me as it is comprised of everything a BBA student needs to learn but not just that they even added a completely new and on-demand subject Business Analysis so I'm quite satisfied wit it as the course curriculum also puts major emphasis on the soft skills development by GD, PPT, and other. If I say so about choosing this course then coming from a commerce background I wanted to go into the management line and get to know the business more so I chose this course. The faculties at our college are well qualified with ample amount of experience to back them up as well, although I'm not satisfied with the teaching method of some of them as they teach as if they are teaching school students by dictating the notes and then checking them up. Exams take place in ev Every 2 months before the final semester exams.
Yeah, I have opted for a digital marketing internship on my own as these types of opportunities don't come to call. College only provides us with sales, Hr and marketing internships. The companies that have come for internship recruitment are Unacademy and Cincool for the role of Hr, Marketing, and Sales interns with a decent stipend of 5-10k.
The placement cell has become super proactive recently and is working hard we have just entered our 3rd year and some of my classmates are already placed and some are doing internships. Top companies like Paytm, Concentrix, Hike Education, Wealth Clinic star Health Insurance and many more have come for campus drives. Even though they don't come to our Kumaon branch we go to Ipec Gaziyabad for the placement which is also a sub-branch of Miet Meerut. The package 2-3 lpa offered is decent considering they are 3rd-year students for the job role of Bde and sales. Some of them have also got internships at Unacademy and Cincool as sales, marketing and HR interns with a stipend of 5-10k. Talking about myself I'm not interested in Sales or Hr or anything like that so I'm not that reliant on the placement cell but rather doing things on my own and found an internship as well even though I cracked the interview at Star Health I rejected it. But yeah clg is working hard on it.
The college fee is 18000 per semester which makes it 36000 per year. Yes, there are scholarship opportunities for Sc St category students in which by providing documents they can avail of the benefits without paying a single penny. The complete cost of my course will be a cumulative sum of 118000 and yeah I think it's going to be increased so I can't give you the surety of it. In that 18000 per semester everything is covered from admission fee to development fee, lab fee to library to wifi or any other charges. Most of my classmates are from the general category so we pay the full fee but there are a few who are from SC ST so they don't have to pay any thing for college or the governing body covers everything for them.
Life on campus at first felt like a hassle but as time passed by those people around me felt like family, like being far from family always missed them but these bunch of people never made me feel alone they were welcoming. There aren't any such clubs at our college and the infrastructure is also rather small and cramped in comparison to other colleges. But yeah we do have a number of them fest and the college celebrates every festive with a whole lot of energy recently in April 2024 we had a super big annual event Ullas which was super amazing and filled with local stars and Cm Dhami ji has also visited us several times and it in itself is a bigger event than any other. I haven't used the library much but it's not equipped with many books it feels boring to be there with the same old books even though our curriculum has changed. There aren't any sports and extracurricular activities so it's a no-no for any sports enthusiasts.
No, I haven't opted for a hostel I prefer to live alone in a rented room, but yeah my classmates have opted for a hostel and hearing them talk about it I can say they are having the time of their life there.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
