The admission involves a basic entrance exam and a interaction with faculty. For persuing a degree of biotechnology from kumaun University, Nainital (Department of Biotechnology, bhimtal) you should score atleast 65% in 12.
Everything is very smooth and in a regular format. Exam occur semester wise and each semester include 2 sessional exam in each subject. The level of exam is moderate to high. The faculty is highly qualified every professor is PhD holder and their way of teaching is fabulous.
No , yet I have not opted any internship from my college side but after my 2 year completion and in the last semester we get opportunities from our college side to get the opportunities for doing internships .
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
The fees of our course is approx ?56000 per year and it is not increasing semester wise or yearly. The first semester has approx ?35000 fees as it include all the fees like tution fees, caution fees, library fees,lab fees, and all other charges .
Their are many programs done in department for the welfare of students like seminar, workshop etc. There are department fests and departmental trips for the refreshment of students. Our library is the best place where a student love to spend his most of the time in include a wide variety of books like course books,journals,novels and some comics also.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.

Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
