- Based on my experience through the college, I love the fact that this college has well endowed facilities such as good classroom, well equipped laboratory and a good well stocked library that can support learning and research. The faculty is well informed, friendly, and directly involved actively with the students of the school. This institution offer an active campus live with every opportunity given to students to engage in extracurricular activities such as club activities, cultural events, and the sporting activity. A beautiful complex and clean environment also foster growth of ideas and general learning atmosphere. On the same note, the emphasis placed on the internships, workshops, and seminars offered in the industry equip students perfectly for their careers.
- I would like to extend my deepest appreciations to the college faculty and the staff for hard work, mastery, and support they have shown. The faculty is well educated and composed of a set of academics and professionals to enhanced teaching and learning. They are friendly and easily available for students to consult or clear any confusion, or to help them with their academic and non-academic lives. These enriched teaching techniques include using cases, interactive sessions, and projects that develop fun and meaningful learning processes. The administrative staff is also outstanding performing their roles to facilitate the functioning of this college in addressing every academic and non-academic need as soon as possible. Their coherent and consistent attempts at keeping the environment positive and one that supports the students definitely adds value to the college experience, in that everyone becomes a better person.
Dislikes
- lWhile the Department of Management Studies (DMS) at Kumaun University in Bhimtal offers a serene environment conducive to learning, there are areas that could benefit from improvement: Infrastructure: The organisation occupies a large piece of land that is about 160 acres, but modern structures are not well developed. This library has a large stock of books but a poor stock of current, digital, and modern management education material. Faculty: Tutor or train might be restricted because only three specialists work in the department or the number of electives is also restricted. In other words, this limitation can potentially minimise the level and ways, through which students get flooded with academics. Of all the possible negative aspects of the institute, the location of the institute can be a major issue and the institute located at Bhimtal may limit the students mobility in case of industrial interaction and internship activities .
- To improve the overall experience at DMS Bhimtal, several areas could be addressed: Infrastructure: As expected, increasing technology in classroom for learning; enlarging library collection with improved media such as digital; and for ensuring quality connectivity particularly internet will benefit students. Faculty: By enrolling more number of faculty members especially from the diversified specialization background the prospect of developing the academic area as well as the overall student learning resources is possible. Industry Exposure: Increased numbers of workshop sessions and guest lectures and industrial visits emphasizing on professional practitioners should be of great help in bridging the theory practice binary. Extracurricular Activities: To improve students’ experience, an institution should extend club, several sports or cultural events.
Remarks :
The located between the lake city of bhimtal in Nainital situated very near to the city centre and the market area. although the route is poorly maintained by the municipal authorities. I applied it on the university website and was called for the counselling and P. I after a week and got through. I hadn't prepared for it at all
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course emphasis on the communication and soft skills which are useful in the corporate. The faculty is well qualified some of them are phds , doctorates and some are on temporary basis all have some specialisation in either hr , finance or marketing etc. the teaching style is more based on dialogue between professor and class rather than one way communication. The exams are little untimely due to the student council elections last year .

Campus Life :
Canvas is an annual fest organized by our college which is held in month of September every year. Various activities like inter college tournaments, marathon and other sports competition are organised. The extra co curricular activities like singing, dancing and plays are performed by the students of all sems and winner gets the cash prizes. Our classrooms have a smart board for the presentations and video demonstrations. Fans are switched off mostly due to the cold weather of bhimtal. Our library has some monthly business magazines like : Business today and EPW etc

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
