UC college - A review
Likes
- The college has an infrastructure which is a mixture of both traditional and modern times. Both has been maintained pretty decently too. The college conducts many programs to enhance the social life of the students too.
- The teachers here are young and experienced at the same time. They are friendly towards us students . At the same time, they make sure about their professionalism too. The syllabus and portions are completed in correct time.
Dislikes
- The college conducts internal exams very recently which makes it harder for students to be upto date with studies. There is no travelling facilities availed directly by the bus (college bus). The maintenance of bathroom facilities could be improved too in some buildings.
- The timings of the programs are not much suitable for the day scholars who travel from a long distance. Most of the programs are conducted in evenings which makes it harder for the day scholars to attend.
Remarks :
I, being a sports enthusiast was sure about the idea of pursuing a degree in BSM. So as UC College provided this, I did not doubt in choosing this college. I did not face any discussions or interviews during the admission process. I just had to come directly for admission with important documents.
Course Curriculum Overview :
BSM is a 3-year course with 6 semesters. The first 2 semesters have 5 subjects each. The 4th sem contains a small internship period while the whole of 6th semester is based on projects and internships. The faculties here are young yet experienced. They are so friendly and professional towards us.
Internships Opportunities :
I did participate in an internship last year. It was the national CBSE football tournament lasting 5 days. I got a participation certificate. They also provide us with refreshments and food and accommodation.
Placement Experience :
This course alone provides many internships. The 4th,5th, and 6th semesters contain many internships with the whole of 6th sem being an internship. The college also provides campus placements after graduation too.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I pay an annual fee of 2003 Rupees. BSM is one of the most cheapest and affordable courses in the college. The college does not charge any extra charges and the fees are comparatively very low for those availing certain quotas.
Campus Life :
The college conducted many programs and functions to give students a break from their hectic schedule. Almost every festival is celebrated here. There's a very modern library maintained along with an ancient model infrastructure containing more than 1000 books. There are a large number of clubs at the college that aim to increase the participation of students in social activities.
Hostel Facilities :
I have not yet applied for a hostel. But the hostels are very near to this college and have good facilities. The colleges maintain a traditional infrastructure too. The mess is said to be good too. Hostels can be applied for by contacting the college offices.

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events,and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects,giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.

There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech.There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary

Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty

Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
