Review for Engineering College of UMIT
Remarks :
This college is a girls college, it is rated topmost college for girls in Mumbai. The good factor is it has very good placements. I was selected by cet cap round in merit means I gave first entrance exam of Engineering Mh-Cet then I got qualified.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I did course of B.Tech in Computer Engineering. The course curriculum was related to our field I.e Software development. The Acdemics are good. There are many books provided in library for studing related to the academics. And Faculty is also nice and help students too.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I opted for internship and I got too. In final year it is compulsory for one internship as it is in academics which is added in final semester marks atleast min 4- 6 weeks max 6 months. Here some internship are converted to full time opportunities too.
Placement Experience :
Placements opportunities are very good here. The highest package here offered was 28 LPA. You will get placed if you are good in academic and have no backlog in any subjects. From 2nd and third year there are placement for internship and in final year there are full time opportunities.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For open category annual fee is 100000+ (don't know proper), for Sc/St it is 21000(if we get scholarship else we have to pay full fees).It includes tution fee which is around 80000, development fee, labrotary fee, library fee, fest fee and etc
Campus Life :
There are many councils in our college. So each Council has their own fest. There is one annual fest named Arcane Illusions which is very grand. There are availability of books and journal in the library. There is Council for sports too which held sports events for us. Student Council, Xuberance Sports Council, E-Cell, Computer Society of India- CSI
Hostel Facilities :
I opted for hostel but was not available for me so I stayed in PG nearby my college. There are many students leaving there which are from our college. Santacruz West, Juhu Tara road is the locality whereI stayed which is very good area.

An industry focused learning experience
Placement Experience :
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
Reality of niat
Placement Experience :
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.

The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Average college provide average facilities

Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.

Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .

Placement Experience :
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.

engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.

there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.

The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
