- We have very knowledgeable teachers who helps us understand every topic they teach.
- Every student in the college is very open minded and everyone welcome you with open arms not matter what background you belong to.
Dislikes
- The college campus is very small so we don't have much space to play and the college don't have good parking facility for students.
- The college introduced uniforms which is too costly and the uniform quality is also not good one set costs around 6000.
Remarks :
I thought of getting admission in DU but due to some problems i had to drop that plan and the time was almost out to get admission in any other college but St. Anthony's was a backup plan for me so i choose for this college. For my subject i didn't had to appear for any exam but for some subject there are exams like Music, Mass Media etc. You have to score around 70% in the 12th which is the minimum requirement to apply for the college admission and there is not cut off the selection process is basically first come first serve basis.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have a very keen interest towards concept based subject that's why i choose this course. There are 4 teachers for our honors and we need to do every class to understand everything. The teachers are highly qualified and they give attention to every student in the class. Our teachers often take test to know if the students are understanding everything or not and we have our internals before our semester exam where we have to give assignments and tests and lastly the semester exams are conducted which is a bit hard to score marks since the papers were checked by the NEHU.
Placement Experience :
We have a placement cell in our college which helps the students to get placement during their final year many companies like WIPRO, INFOSYS etc. The highest package a students have got till now is 2.9 LPA. Only a few students gets placement from our college so i decided to get MA degree after this and appear for civil services exam or net after completing my MA degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
My course fees is around 23000 per year which totals up to 69000 in 3 years. When i got the acceptance letter in email during the admission in this college i had to pay 16180 which is also the fees of the 1st semester and i didn't had to pay a single penny until the 2nd Semester which was around 7k. There are many other scholarship programs which are offered by the Meghalaya government since this college is government aided college. There are no relief in fees for St and Sc students since the whole state is a tribal occupied state.
Campus Life :
The college celebrates college week in the month of february or in the month of march. During the college week many sports and other events takes place like prom, cosplay events, stalls, photography competition etc. We also have clubs for example NSS, NCC, Rangers and rovers, Anthonian Youth Club etc. In the library you can find many books which will help you during your assignments and other educational activites. Every classroom have a projector which is used to show educational videos so that the students shouldn't be bored

There is no placement cell in college,but i have planned for NORCET EXAM and NCLEX for job in foreign country and in the meantime i will join any private hospital which pay me good money and along with it i will prepare for NORCET

Placements are mid , my seniors got placed in various companies, and last year a seniot got placed in google with 20LPA i guess , the average package is low but the placement cell is trying to bring companies

The employment rate of my course is demanding so I opt this. Also there is campus opportunity for some courses available in the college. After biotechnology you can choose any profession like professor researcher etc .

Job opportunities from our college is not quite good, but our college is renowned for their excellence in commerce so employability after completion of course is not a big issue especially for me, i personally would like to get involved in financial sectors

Since it's a college affiliated under NEHU, so there's only graduation course here. But if you want to do masters you have go to NEHU for that. Only then you will get a good placement. But I had friends in other departments they were given the opportunity to sit for placement interview but again the package isn't as high as someone would get after post graduation.

Placement opportunities were not directly available but many companies and institutions scouted our students through seminars and programmes for further job after the degree. The package differed from student to student and they were offered individually to them so it was hard to know the exact number.

80% placement is sure 100% sure 23k for the new minimum it is 4 to 5 lakh package which is amazing as a fresher and the PG rooms is also good idli do output percentage of students getting plus mint and criteria is from the website.

Since I’m still under graduation , I don’t know much about the placements here. But my plans after my graduation is to persue MBA from a good university. But as I’ve heard from my seniors, the placements here are quite good and many of the students grab the placement opportunities that are offered here.
