- Main plus point is the Jipmerite tag as it is an institution of national importance.
- Second one is reservation for neet pg for all mbbs students studying in this college.
Dislikes
- Negative point is that college is under development so other infrastructures are yet to come up.
- Social life is also a little bit bad as there are no clubs or malls in nearby locations.
Remarks :
You could get admission in this college purely based on marks that you have attained in NEET exam. If you are alloted this college you don't have to face any extra interviews or exams to get admission. I opted for this college mainly because of jipmerite tag and reservation for neet pg and this is an institution of national importance and studying in such a college is a matter of pride.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Mbbs course duration is for 4 and half years with a compulsory year of internship. You will be taught by experienced doctors who all are easily approachable by students. Mainly teaching method is powerpoint presentation based where the faculty takes lecture with the PPT. Periodically internal assessment will be conducted after which you will be facing send up examination followed by final examination. You will have to score a minimum of 30% marks in sum of internal assessment and send up examination so as to appear for final exam. Exam difficulty range from easy to difficult depending on your preparation and the textbooks.
Internships Opportunities :
You will have do one year of compulsory internship after completion of four and half years of studies. You will be paid during internship monthly around 30k. During internship you will be posted in different branches of mbbs where you will have to do duty for weeks.
Placement Experience :
No placements are offered by college but after four and half years of successful completion, you will have to do a one year of compulsory internship where you will be paid monthly around 30k. After internship, you could go for neet pg or start working as mbbs graduate.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tuition fee amounting to 6770 have to be paid yearly. Hostel fee turns around 500 per month which becomes 6000 yearly. Establishment fee amounting to 6000 have to paid yearly. During admission you have to pay a little more this sum but for subsequent years, only this sum applies. Mess fee of 100 per day has to be paid turning to be 3k or 3.1k.
Campus Life :
The main fest is spandan which will be conducted on September where you will have to travel to jipmer pondicherry. College infrastructure is under development. We have recently got a new academic campus and separate boys and girls hostel. Hospital construction is to be started in immediate future. College has got a library with availability of most of books and also an e-library in site where you could get all the books. Extra curricular activities are lesser comparatively but we students were able to hold intra college sports meet and will be expanding to inter college sports meet in future. We students have got an association called JIKSA where we could request for any help with academics or non academics.
Hostel Facilities :
We have got a new hostel separately for boys and girls. Admission can be done at hostel entrance with the warden. Rooms have to be doubly occupied and Rs 500 per month have to be paid. Rooms have got two cupboards and two coats. Hostel is just 200m away from campus. We get Tamil type food in mess and chapatti will be available on all days. I think you won't face any issue with food. Mess fee amounts to 100 per day which you have to pay at the end of month accordingly.

There have campus placement after completing our course if we are wiling to do so on the affiliated colleges or off campuses of the university. For women also there have colleges at local and national level. Students also prefer to proceed their studies at global level by entering into international universities and other programmes.

The college has its own placement cell .each year almost 400-500 students are getting placed.the well know recruiters are TCS , Accenture,Bounteous , Capgemini etc.the highest package of cur end year is 12LPA.

Eligibility for sitting In placement is that we should not carry backlogs and we have to maintain a decent cg of 7+ some companies do allow even you have backlogs but mostly they don't . In eee we have a good scope of getting palced this time everyone who sat for placements was placed and the highest core package of 12lpa which is actually good. Average was around 7 lpa for core in eee . I'll probably choose upsc career so this placement thing is not my piece of cake . Still our college is good for eee core placements

Job placement is quite bad in our university if you think to get addmission here you will fight for job . You have to apply directly to the companies. Companies are coming here but they didn't provide placement more than 30% .

Placement Experience :
The few companies which attended the placement drive were pharmaceuticals and sales companies, which weren't related to the field we pursued. Students attended the placement drive got placed and were able to bag below average packages. The percentage of students who got placed were around 40%. My plans were to go for higher studies. More emphasis could have been placed by the college on the placements and more opportunities could have been provided by the college for the students.

Placement Experience :
Every year students are placed in a week reputed companies like Amazon,Virtusa,TCS, Capgemini, Renault and so on. All the students having eligibility to attend the placements but some of the Top MNC expected 60% eligibility of throughout 10,12 and academic CGPA. So not eligible students also having more placements options to crack it.
