Likes
- Hostel is really good so less people so everyone knows each other well.
- Some of the teachers are really good not just teaching about the topic but teachs us about life .
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is not upto the maximum because its in hilly reason of Sikkim.
- Somewhere there isn't much of social gathering this and that and its somewhat boring for a college student.
Remarks :
After 12th exam for north eastern students can come for this course through their own state selection exam, it may be in exam mode or on criteria of selection by mark basis . This college is under CAU central agriculture university. And its affiliated with icar and u can also join this course from ICAR exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculty members are all well educated and good in their own field of expertise. Teaching method is different for different teacher but overall its good . Exams are conducted on time as its under CAU and they follow strict time table .
Internships Opportunities :
In the 4th year course we will be going for training thrice one for farm machine, another for soil water conservation and then last one we will go for industrial training in 7th semester and there is all india tour also .
Placement Experience :
Placement is provided for students from different company. But for myself i am not interested in working right now so i am not sure about Placement part much but there is Placement for the course also .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Per semester fee is around 8400 so two semester in a year rounding upto 18000. This is for tution fee , for mess fee its separate its run by hostel students so for boys mess fee is around 2500 and girls around 1900. Insurance fee is paid in odd semester ever year an amount of 178.
Campus Life :
There are less number of students in our college and everyone stays in hostel and everyone knows each other from faculty to students from 1styear to 4th year everyone stays freindly . Library is also good . Classroom are smart Classroom.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is compulsory for our college and its somewhat convenient for students also since many are from different states . Hostel mess is run by students and food wise is also not that bad as compared to the money we are giving.

Placements and job opportunities are given to students after their completion of internship some may get the opportunity in between their internship,like recently our department seniors were gone for their internship and they are receiving amount of stipend in their internship at around 7000 rupees which was good thing for them

The placements are not highlighted as most students apply for jobs in a wide range of off-campus sites. My plans after getting the degree is to clear NET and continue with my education as a PhD scholar.

No guarantees . There is no placement guarantee in our college if you pass you pass their is no guarantee that you'll get a job after the college i have seen my seniors driving taxi after college and I'm afraid

Although the college claims 100 percent placements. I have seen my seniors running and applying for job interviews here and there. However i feel only 50- 60 percent gets placed by the college campus interview. But also there are many opportunities outside the college so one doesn't have to worry for placements.

Yes we do have internship program. If you do diploma you will get one OJT that can vary upon the field of your interest such such you want to move to another location or not And if you are not diploma then you get one OJT plus last 9 months of internship then placement.

So the University doesn't have any sort of Placement Cell however the student body has assured that they will make it work and resume it soon. But as of now not having Placement benefit is a disadvantage. However, if you're good enough to crack NET exams and some other entrances than even some of the private universities can take us into consideration. I'm planning to crack NET and continue with PhD if I get a chance otherwise I'll have to crack good amount of entrances.
