Sikkim University was established by the Act of Parliament of India in 2007. It is a public central university located in Gangtok. The university is affiliated with the University Grant Commission (UGC) and AICTE. NAAC has accredited the university with a ‘B’ grade and was ranked in the 151-200 group in 2023 by the NIRF.

Sikkim University Scholarships
