Sikkim University UG Eligibility Criteria

  • For BPA Music, Class XII passed with 40% marks in any discipline.
  • For BSc Geology, Class XII (Science stream) with 45% marks.
  • For BSc/BA Psychology, Class XII with 45% marks in any stream/ discipline.
  • For BA Chinese, Class XII with 45% marks in any stream/ discipline.
  • For BVoc IT, 10+2 in Science with Mathematics /acquired NSQF level IV in the particular industry sector.

Sikkim University UG Selection Criteria

  • For BPA, Admission through CAT (Central Admission Test) conducted by the Sikkim University. The merit list prepared after the result determines a candidate’s admission.
  • For BSc, the candidate has to take CAT (Central Admission Test). The merit list will later determine and secure the seat for the candidate.
  • For BA from the University, the candidate has to take CAT (Central Admission Test). The merit list will then determine the admission of a candidate.
  • For BVoc, the candidate has to attempt CAT (Central Admission Test). The merit list and cut-off will determine the admission of a candidate.

Sikkim University PG Eligibility Criteria

  • For MCA, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and passed in Mathematics at 10+2 for General or 45% for SC/ST/OBC.
  • For MSc, candidates must have passed their BSc with at least 45% marks in related subjects.
  • For MA, candidates must have passed BA in related subjects with 50% except for English/Hindi/Anthropology/History/International Relations/Mass Communication/Peace & Conflict Studies/Psychology/Political Science which require candidates to score at least 40%
  • MA Economics/Nepali/Zoology candidates must have at least 45% marks for admissions
  • For MBA, candidates must have a graduation with 50% marks for General and 45% marks for SC /ST/OBC/DA
  • MPhil candidates are required to have a masters in related fields with 55% for General and 50% for reserved to be eligible.
  • For LLM. Law Graduate with 45% marks for General and 40% for SC/ST/OBC/DA
  • For MPA, Bachelor in Performing Arts (BPA)/BA in Music/ B. Music with 40 % marks / Honours graduate with 45% marks / Pass graduate with 56% marks from any recognized university

Sikkim University PG Selection Criteria

  • For MCA, a written entrance test followed by an interview is required. Candidates with UGC – NET (including JRF)/UGCCSIR-NET (including JRF) ICAR-NET/ ICMR-NET/DBTNET/ SLET/GATE / M.Phil. degree holders are exempted from written test.
  • For M.Sc., MA, LLM, MPA, M.Ed., MMTM and M.Com, admission is through CAT conducted by the Sikkim University.
  • For MBA admission is through University CAT followed by Interview and Group Discussion. Candidates with valid CAT/ MAT/ C-MAT score will be exempted from the entrance test.
  • For M.Phil a written entrance test followed by an interview is required. Candidates with UGC – NET (including JRF)/UGCCSIR-NET (including JRF) ICAR-NET/ ICMR-NET/DBTNET/ SLET/GATE are exempted from written test.
