Remarks :
I chose this as this is the best option I had compared to eamcet colleges, given that I didn't score well in jee. The entrance exam for this college is BITSAT which is for 360 marks. Cut-offs are given by marks in every round, not through ranks as in jee.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Same old curriculum. Daily tests for mechanical students, weekly tests for remaining branches. They are ofcourse not easy. Sometimes they might be easy, other tests are quizzes, midsem, comprehensive examination.
Placement Experience :
More than 250 large and medium sized companies visit our campus every year to recruit students. As per year on year(YoY) placement statistics, around 91% of students(First degree & Higher degree) who are interested in securing jobs through campus placements succeed in doing so. As a result, most of our students have their career paths chartered much before graduation. This is a validation of the quality of education and experience they get at BITS Pilani-Hyderabad Campus. Students are selected only on merit. I wish to sit for finance placements as iam interested in it.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
3,12,000 per sem including hostel fee of 55,000 per sem. Fee hikes 5% evey year. Scholarships are of two types given by the institute- Merit(for the top 8 or 9 percent students) Merit cum Need(given to rem top 9 or 10% students, this is given to those whose family income less than 15lpa as per 2024)
Campus Life :
Fervour- Freshers week( first fest of the academic year, happens in mid aug) Sanskriti- fest to showcase cultural diversity of different regions of india(during mid September) Atmos- technical fest(happens after mid sem examinations around oct-nov) Arena- sports fest(mid second sem ) Pearl- most awaited cultural fest, top artists come to perform here. Many fun events happen in this three day fest Lots of teams and clubs like cricket,frisbee, football, basketball, hockey,volleyball,kabaddi,badminton,chess,etc. and clubs like embryo,RAF, ARC, and departments like Photography, recreational activities, sponsorship and management, professional events etc. work during fests.
Hostel Facilities :
First year, two per room(no ac rooms) For second year, you can opt for single or double occupancy. Third year, only single occupancy rooms given. Two Common rooms per floor have acs. Decent food quality and taste, not bad at all. (Every student must live in hostel here)

From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

Placement Experience :
Since I am still a student I haven't gone through the final placement season yet. But from what I have seen the college starts preparing us quite early. We have regular coding sessions, aptitude training, mock interviews and resume building workshops. The placement team also shared internship opportunities whenever they are available. I feel the college is more focused on making students job ready than waiting until the final year. If you stay consistent with your coding, projects and overall skills, you will be in a much better position when placement season starts. Overall I think the college provides good support, but students also need to put in their own effort.
College life beyond classroom

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.
A great place to meet like minded people
Course Curriculum Overview :
One important thing I like about the course is that it isn't only about reading books and writing exams. We get to practice what we learn through coding, assignments, and small projects, which makes the subject easier to understand. The syllabus also covers topics that are useful for todays tech industry. The faculty is friendly and easy to talk to. They explain concepts in a simple way, clear doubts without any hesitation, and we are already ready to help if someone is struggling.

My experience at NIAT
Placement Experience :
NIAT is a relatively new institute the first batch hasn't graduated yet, so there isn't any official placement record available. However the college has done a good job of preparing students through practical learning, coding and real world projects. Many students have already secured internships from the first year itself which gives them valuable industry experience. Along with technical skills the college also provides guidance for resume building and interviews, making students feel more confident about future placement opportunities.

Eligibility is that we must maintain atleast 60-70% aggregate overall without any active backlogs. Recruiters are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, AWS etc. Total no. of offers made: All branches combined get 700-1100+ offers. Highest package is 52 lpa offered by AWS, and average package is about 6 lpa. About 60% students get placements. After getting my degree, I intend to get a good job in campus placements in companies like AWS, and go towards VLSI field
