As i live in Bangalore my main concern was the time spent on traveling because of the traffic, so the main factor for choosing this college was nearby and availability of highway, which reduces the time stuck in traffic and signals. According to google rating it is among the top 5 colleges for architecture in Bangalore. The campus is huge and lively. The architecture building itself is phenomenal surrounded by green lawns. Teachers are polite and humble, and ready to help you on your journey. Seniors were very interactive and had good things to say
I chose this course because i am good with numbers and i also have a creative mind, so architecture is a course that requires a bit of both, hence i chose architecture as my major. Faculties are highly qualified with master degrees in different fields of architecture and few of them have their own firms. There are teachers with immense experience and knowledge regarding this field. Our semester is 3-4 months, in which we have monthly tests knows as internal assessments, we have 3 IAs in each semester and a final term end exam in the fourth month which is usually very hectic and stressful as we have to meet all the requirements for our jury and study for out written exams as well. It is a 5 year course with 10 semesters.
In my course the last semester is internship which makes it compulsory to intern for a firm of your choice to complete the degree. Our college has facilities who have their own firms and aside from that our college has a list of firms that they provide us with and according to our likes and designing we can choose the firms we want to apply for and email our portfolios to those firms. Stipend is fixed for every intern which is 5000. Depending on the student and the scale of project they want to work under they can apply for the firms. If they want to work on different projects and handle different design element in each project with a lot of exposure then applying for a large firm is what they must do but if you want to work on small scale projects with the aim of getting better at designing a particular element of the project then small firms is your choice.
Eligibility criteria is to have the understanding of your field, its not the grades or marks its how much knowledge you have. Our college is partnered with microsoft, google, prestige and other reputed companies. 80% of the students are able to bag an offer. The highest paid package of the recent year is 10 LPA and the average is around 3-5 LPA I plan on doing my internship and continue working in the same firm for awhile and go abroad to experience the architecture of different countries.
For students that get free seat through CET Tuition fee 65000 Other 50000 Payment seat 275000-300000 annually It is a good college which has good facilities available for students with well educated and experienced faculty. Teachers along with other students are very helpful and interactive.
Campus of this college is lively with students of different courses blending in together. Campus is filled with greenery, having well maintained lawns and trees along with flower beds. Students from different courses hang out together, there are more than 5 hangout spots in the campus and a park to relax. There are two major food courts where you get everything along with a canteen and a mess for hostel students. We have a fest every year, in which all the students come together and organize the events, from decorating the campus to participating in the competitions, it has got it all. We celebrate ethnic day every year where everyone is dressed in their ethnic and traditional clothes as there are different students from different parts of India. We celebrate different festivals on the campus be it Diwali, eid or Christmas, we do it all!
I have not opted for hostel, but i have my friends who stay in hostel, for the first year students they have a different building which is new and more comfortable compared to the others. It is done to avoid ragging and bullying. There are 4 hostel blocks for boys and 5 for girls. As our course is for 5 years architecture students have to find accommodation outside for their last year as the hostel works according to other engineering courses which is for 4 years. Hostelites have mess facility where they get food on a timely basis.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
