The entry into the college is through BITSAT exam, it contains physics, chemistry, logical reasoning, english and mathematics/biology. Information regarding the cutoffs is available on the official website. Various exam papers and books are available to prepare for bitsat as it is a well known exam.
The faculty at BITS Pilani is exceptional. As one of the top engineering colleges in India, it boasts highly qualified teachers. Students can create their own timetable with their preferred instructors and their is no attendance policy which contributes to a flexible and enriching educational experience. The course is well designed by professors from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA. It has common engineering basics for all 1st yearites followed by stream specific courses in further years of college which align with industry specific needs.
Their are 2 interships provided by the college to everyone based on their cgpa, first is after the 2nd year and is usually unpaid, second internship is in the 4th year which is paid with an average stipend of 45k per month and highest stipend of 27.5 lakh per month. This shows the internships provided by Bits are top notch.
The placement scenario at Bits Pilani is excellent. The institute arranges 2 interships based on your cgpa and many students receive Ppo's from these internships. Last year, despite the recession, nearly 92% of the students registered got placed from the Pilani campus with impressive average and median packages highlighting the strong placement record of Bits Pilani.
Since there is no reservation, the fees for everyone is same which is approx 6.5 lakh per year including everything and around 30 lakh for four years. There are 2 types of scholarships, merit and merit cum need: Merit: Top 1% students on the basis of cgpa get 100% scholarship and the next 2% get 50% scholarship in their tuition fees. Merit cum need: This can be availed only by people having anual income less than 15 lakh. Top 2% students get 100% scholarship, next 5% get 50% and next 15% students get 25% scholarship on their tuition fees.
Campus life at bits is the best. Everything here is run by the students, be it sports, fests, clubs etc. There are 3 major fests, Oasis- the cultural fest (2nd biggest student run fest in asia!) which is usually in the month of october, Apogee: the technical fest which is in the month of March-April and BOSM- the sports fest which is in the month of September. All of these huge fests are run solely by students. There are clubs for each and every thing, be it tech related, cultural clubs or finance related clubs which are also run by students only. Bits also has a huge library with all kinds of books and generals present. The sports facilities are also great at the campus.
Hostel facilities are good relative to their cost. The accomodation meets all essential needs and the quality of mess food is top notch. Due to Pilani's remote location, renting a room or pg accomodation is challenging.
I am not into placement and job opportunities by my course I am preparing for a government exam hence I need a degree for that On the other hand as it is a government college There are high chances of placements with good packages
Its an 100% placement college with internships opportunities at 7th semester The college gives details mock questions whick can be asked during interviews sessions. The college even have great company opportunities
I heard that btech is no one here for academics and placements for women so its worth it. There are lots of sports opportunities wherever you want you can achieve like horse riding squash etc. theres aviation as well for the girls to fly and achieve their dreams
Yes, students had gotten placements via college in banking and private companies because after completing graduation i also got an opportunity through college but due to some circumstances, i hadn’t got that chance.
You just have to be a student of last year for applying in internship programs and placements. You have to master any skill and then you can get placement. Many small companies helds campaigns in the university and appoint students for job. The average package is around 20-30 per annum. The highest is around 40 to 50 lakh and lowest is around 10 to 20 lakh per annum. 60% of students gets placement in companies . My plans after getting the degree are to master a skill and then apply for a job in a well known company.
our course first batch is still not gradutaed so there is no info about placements but there is such help in internship. they also told that they will give placment asiistance from their side , lets see
The internship experience is provided by college . Many recruiters came for recruitments every year in all the streams. companies like HUL and FMCG groups take their fresh employees and provide experience of salary basis.
I really don't like placement of jecrc bcoz I don't see mt senior going to a great company out campus they are achieving good but in our campus we don't really get into good company they should have increased the number of companies in our college
Campus recruitment training is provided to all course students and it depends on the student whether they want to opt for it or not. After CRT, different companies come to the campus for their recruitment drive.
There is no campus placement here. Students who passed out from here some are finding jobs, some had their good family business and just wanted to get a degree and some started their own startup. College don't provide you any future security.
As every engineering college we get high placements in circuital branches but for non circuitals senior advice to study a particular language , DSA and all to get placements which is somewhere right because chances of circuital branch jobs are high.
