- Our college has lift, a good canteen and a store.
- Well furnished classrooms and there is a ladies amenities centre is present.
Dislikes
- There is no good labs like they are becoming old
- No ground for sports,no football courts,no courts for any of the games.
Remarks :
No actually this is a government Engineering college,I choose it because it’s is situated in the heart of Trivandrum off course that’s a reason.And I am interested to choose either cs or IT.But I don’t get into CS .So out of all the colleges that has IT,I get to know that this college is better also here there is no CS branch so the placements to IT companies mainly focuses on we ,IT students. Bad aspects means compared to other colleges we have a little space only 6 acres in total.Also there is no hostel for men,they have to take pg outside. Admission procedure clearly through KEAM.Cutoff needs to be below 10000 to get into IT,EC and EEE but for Civil and Mech I think 20000 below will be considered also it’s based on the category ranks and the exam offcourse. I think for KEAM you need only 11th and 12th maths ,chemistry and physics.But studying it thoroughly you can have a good rank in KEAM.Actually KEAM is an easy exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum of IT includes some of the programming languages and some other core subjects. Actually KTU’s academic calendar is so fast moving ,they complete a Sem its actually 6 months long ,but completed it in just 3 months. I choose this course because IT is a fast developing field. Faculties are well qualified from reputed institutions and there skills are very interesting too . If a Sem is only 3 months long,you will have two series exam which divides the full portions by half which will be on 1st and 2nd month and then off course you will have your sem exam on 3rd month .Exams will be easy if you study the subjects but the thing is you need to have 40/100 to pass in the exams.You thinks it’s very easy but when you are there you will get to understand.
Internships Opportunities :
I had done only online internships.But there are so many paid internships available.Its hard to find.We can also get internships through placements.They as interns offer up to 25000 per month after so companies assess them through test and based on the results their jobs will get decided atlast others not have such test they directly take them and give positions.
Placement Experience :
For placements the companies often mentioned to have a cgpa above 7 and also some companies prefer no backlogs. So many companies are visiting such as UST,COGNIZANT,INAPP,ACCENTURE,TCS with diff packages from 300000 -800000 lakh/year. I think one of our senior got placed in Carestack at 1000000/year,It’s something that I had witnessed. 50% of students getting placed I suppose. I am planning to take one more degree,so I’m preparing for GATE.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Each year there will be two semesters.So 4 years (8 semesters).Each Sem there will be semester registration fees and exam fee it will be around 10000 or below. There are so many scholarships available for students based on income .
Campus Life :
Life at campus is very beautiful.Our techfest is Aagneya ,very popular in South India,it will be in the second semester in a year. Library is functioning well.Its a government college so the classrooms are very well. Sports and cultural programs conducting every year .Satyam is the name of our culturals.Students are very active in those too. So many clubs such as IEEE,CSI,ASME are present.
Hostel Facilities :
Mens hostel is not present in the college,they need to take pg outside. Ladies hostel is present with mess.I think food is okay vegetable menu is bad but the non veg menu’s are pretty well.Registrations are after you take admission in college ,it’s in the college itself and the fees is also reasonable it will be only around 3000 per month. For men so many PG are available ,it’s very good .Also they can rent a house as groups.

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
