Being a government college that is really accessible and at the heart of the city is what made me choose this college rather than others. The admission is solely based on the score and rank of KEAM entrance and a centralised counselling process. There were no separate GDs/ interviews/ written tests.
The ECE curriculum is quite diverse and includes several CS topics (computer organisation and architecture) and EEE topics too, with decent elective options (image processing, machine learning, etc). Programming was mandatory for labs, mostly the scientific libraries of Python for plotting and Verilog, which gave an in-depth conceptual understanding of coding. Other softwares like MATLAB and Ansys were also there for lab courses. The faculty are good and most usually complete the syllabus on time, and are approachable (for academics and otherwise). Semester exams are scheduled by university and are usually easy or moderate. Internal exams are conducted by respective colleges and frequency is twice a semester.
Even though job opportunities were less because of recession, core companies like Visteon BEL and Tata Elxsi had come for campus recruitment. Other companies that had approached for campus recruitment mostly were from software, finance, banking, edutech and marketing background.
Being a government college affiliated with KTU, the semester fees is around 3000 to 6000, depending on whether it's even or odd semester. It's usually on the higher end for even semesters. Exam registration fee is separate. For financially weaker sections, scholarships like EGrantz are available.
The campus life is good, and filled with several events scattered across the month, due to highly active technical societies like IEEE and ASME and NSS and other clubs. The technical library has several reference books as per our course requirements, and multiple copies of the same books will always be there.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
