The most important point is that attendance is never an issue, i just need to take my exams along with some mandatory workshops which happens for about 1-2 weeks which can happen in any semester with a prior notice provided through the official website.
The course curriculum is very reasonable and easy yet it contains all the important elements for every subjects. The academics is not much as it's an open schooling pattern with no regular classes. The exams are conducted semester-wise i.e. twice in a year along with some mandatory assignment through. The exams are conducted offline for which a nearby centre will be provided, while the assignment are online based. Bith of them are easy.
There is no internship opportunities provided specifically for the students. It would be much better to apply independently if you really want to do an internship, but there would not be a good stipend even if you did join independently so it's much better if you prepare for something else.
There is no such thing provided by the university the only opportunity you can get is the extra time from not having to attend regular classes, so it will be better if you use that time wisely to learn some skills or prepare for exams. Since the minimum qualification you can get from the university is a graduation degree so you can still get a high paid job depending on it.
There is an annual fee of Rs. 8900 for each ear plus there is an examination fees too. But the books are included in it and if you don't want the books then it can get to as low as 6900 per annum also this is without any centre fee i.e. it's only if you fill the form yourself without any college acting as medium otherwise it will go upto Rs. 12000 per annum.
When it comes to campus life there is nothing to share about as there is no official campus but you can get classes if you apply through a specific centre but it depends on that college. The books are provided in offline mode if you have paid for it along with the fees but even if you haven't you can still download the free pdf for each subject from their official website.
There is no regular classes so there is no need for any such facilities but if you get a centre for exams which can be far away then you have to take care of the travelling as well as living facility, there is nothing provided by the university. Although this does not happen if you live in uttarakhand as it's the home state and you will get the nearest centre but if you are from another state then you will definitely face this issue, but still you can easily get a lodge or guest house for as low as 700-900 per day so if we add it up for all exams in a year it could be about 9000-10000 for 10 days exam, which is cheap considering the high prices area like delhi.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
