- At IITGN, there are no restrictions on hostel timings and we can move between hostels at anytime.
- The sports facilities at ITGN are world class. The sports facilities include all indoor and outdoor games. It also has an Olympic size swimming pool.
- Hostels at IIT GN are very beautiful and it provides all the basic facilities.
- Mess provides good quality food and the menu is changes on monthly basis.
Dislikes
- Mathematics faculty at IITGN is truly remarkable but the number of professors are lesser as compared with other IITs.
- Fests that are organized are comparatively less than old IITS.
Remarks :
I applied for admission to IITGN for MSc in mathematics I gave the IIT JAM exam and after clearing it I had to make a list of the colleges(IITs) where I wanted to study. In the JAM exam, i got an AIR of 527. With this rank I could not get into top older iits. At IIT Gn there are visiting faculties members who are professor at IIT Bombay and foreign universities. Most of the professor here have done their phd's from foreign colleges. And they have good research career. And the faculty in algebra is highly expert and I also have interest in algebra, which is why I choose this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
All faculty members at IITGN are very polite, helpful, knowledgeable and inspires student to learn and grow. They have office hours for students so that they can ask their doubts personally without any hesitation. But the number of mathematics faculty members are lesser as compared with other IITs. that's why they offer less number of elective subjects. The level of courses are moderate to hard. And pass percentage is depend on the instructor. And in one sem we have two exam and number of quizes and assignments depending upon instructor.
Internships Opportunities :
NO. At IITGN MSc mathematics students who got internship are low, and the students who get internship are mostly working on projects under professor at other colleges and universities. In summer break ( may to July ) only 10 students out of 40 of our class got internship.
Placement Experience :
From our senior batch 6 to 7 students out of a batch of 30 got placement in ed-tech companies, with one in IT sector and one in Axtiria. Companies that visit for mathematics students includes smart sense consulting private limited, Axtiria private limited deodhar classes, accenture Japan Limited, future first, pheonix Institute, eClerx, TCS , Narayana Group, Allen Career Institute, Physics Wallah and Chaitanya Academy. The highest package offered is 14 lacs in IT company. overall, placement was good as many of our seniors go for PhD but it is lesser than old IITs
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Total fees of 1 year for a M.Sc. student is 113000. It includes tution fees of 20000, hostel rent of 34500, mess and laundary fees is 42000, and other alied charges is 16600. And for 1st sem. we have to pay additional admission fees of 10000. For SC\ST students there is no tution fees.
Campus Life :
The academic blocks buildings are very beautiful and modern. All classrooms are equipped with projectors or smart boards and are fully air conditioned. And wifi is available across the entire campus. IITGN has two libraries one is mini library which is located in Hostel area and is open 24\7, and second is main library which is located in Academic blocks there is a vast collection of journals and books for all age groups. And on every table there is electric Switch for charging laptops and phones. and there are group study rooms in the main library. The main fest organized here are Blithchron (cultural and technical fest), Hackathon (tech fest) , Sankalp (Social Awareness Fest) and Hallabol (Sports Fest). And Amalthea is India's first student run annual technical summit.
Hostel Facilities :
There are 12 hostels in IITGN the hostels are well maintained, neat and clean. In each hostel room (single room) there is a bed, a table, a chair, two tubelights, a fan and an almirah. There is wifi connectivity and in each room there is a LAN connection.

They are good after m pharma around 90% but after b pharma not much because students opt to go for further education overall it’s is good and students a can rely on placement after completion of their course

Average CGPA should be more than 8. Packages providing will be approx 1.5-3.0 LPA. The placement is about 90%. The packages provided are good and satisfactory. After completing this bachelor's degree I would go for masters degree.

No placements are there . The aveeagw placement in the market is about 1.5 to 4.5 lakhs .As compared to the different field the packages for the freshers are very low . But the faculties based on their refrences they give the opportunity.

I havent got any job offer or placement from this University because i m a Diploma student but i will definitely try to search by myself for the job opportunities.I would rather handle my home business may be an 9 to 5 Job.

I have selected this course because of placement opportunity. Faculties members are highly qualified and they usually teach using PPT, white board, computer, etc . There is one mid term exam and one gtu exam per semester.
