We need to give CAT exams to get direct admission and a scholarship into the college and the cutoff for getting admission is above 75%. I did not give CAT exam so I had to give an interview to get into the university
The faculties of my Department are okay if compared to any other business schools. Some faculties are helpful with the studies and extra-curricular activities and motivating but there are a few faculties that just teach for the sake of teaching
I am a first year student and I have not done any internships but we have a summer internship of 45-60 days period after our Sem 2 exams are completed where you get either opt for companies through your references or can go for the company referred from the university
I’m still a first year student so I don’t exactly know about the placement opportunities here but hearing from my seniors I have known by now that what fees you’re paying for your courses is higher than the packages of the placements that you get here.
For Sem 1 I paid 2,63,000 For Sem 2 I will be paying 2,48,000 For Sem 3 I will pay 2,50,000 And For Sem 4 I will pay 2,50,000 This is how my fee structure is segregated but I have heard from my friends that the fee increases by 10% every year
Amity has a huge campus and many events are happening where the whole university come together and carry out the events. Aminova is one the biggest fest that happens in Amity. Social life compared to other colleges is better here from my perspective. Students are interactive and Amity has a strict anti-ragging policy so the social environment there is quiet safe.
I am a day scholar but I have friends who are hostelers they tell us that the hostel facilities are very safe when it comes to girls. The hostel wardens are very strict and they have a specific time that is 9pm when the students are not allowed to go out of their dorms. The mess food is okay. In canteens also they serve mess food for lunch for day scholars as well and I have had the food a few times and it was good. Hostels are quiet affordable as compared to PG. I live in PG in Indiabulls green Panvel and the rent that I pay is 21k and the food here gets expensive if you dont have the proper amenities to cook food.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
