For my course, I had an online interview with the HOD of political science. I was asked basic questions like why I want to purse this course and what are my goals or objectives I wish to fulfil, why did I choose this college and so forth. For other programmes, it’s a similar process of merit based admission and interviews. The reviews and reputation MCC holds was a significant factor for me to choose the college. It sure does live up to its reputation. The college has a lot of discipline and focuses on both academics and Co curricular activities, emphasising on holistic development of students.
The faculty of Political science department are the most understanding, open minded and intellectual professors I’ve met. They not only focus on the syllabus but also encourage students to speak their mind freely, have open discussions and there’s no right or wrong answers in the classroom. Mid semester and End semester examinations are held accurately as proposed in the yearly MCC calendar, they are really punctual about their exams which helps students to prepare ahead of time and complete syllabus accordingly. If you have paid attention and attended all the lectures, the papers are quite easy.
But there are a lot of internships and job opportunities for other course students and with an average salary of at least 5-6 lakhs per annum and few students also got in large multinational corporations with 20-24 lakh per annum package
For my program, I do not believe we have any placements as most of us opt for Masters program after Bachelors instead of Jobs. But there are a lot of good companies that come for placements for the commerce students, like JP Morgan, Infosys and so forth
For BA Programmes, it usually comes to 50-60,000 per year. You are charged extra for the second languages you choose, like French, German, Hindi, Sanskrit and Kannada. There are few financial aid scholarships that one can avail, they are clearly mentioned in the college’s website so do check them out
The biggest fest is Cul-Ah held every year in the months of January or February. It is the most famous fest in Bangalore and every student looks forward to it. The library has all the references and resources one needs and is maintained really well. All the college associations are run by students under the guidance of respective teachers .
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
