I applied to several colleges in and out of Bengaluru but what stood out to me in this college was the balance of academics along with co-curricular activities (10+ departmental fests per year headed by different associations). Christ university new campus was very far for me so I had to reject that due to distance factor. There is a small aptitude test for MCC if anyone fails to make it through the provisional merit-based list. This will comprise general logical reasoning, maths, english questions etc. followed by a quick interview round with parents and student.
Faculty members are very approachable and ready to clarify doubts with their expertise. The faculty student ratio is 1:30. The BCom 3year undergrad program is a structured course involving methods like real world case studies, powerpoint presentations and overall holistic development. Totally 3 exams per semester, 2 internal assessments and one final end-semester examination of 60-70marks depending on course chosen.
From 3rd semester end 1-2 companies may come for certain select roles but most colleges begin with full-fledged placements season only during 5th semester i.e 3rd year. I will opt for the internship during my final year. Have heard about companies like EY, HSBC and the Big4 where hiring roles start as interns and scale up to junior-level analysts and associates, moving to senior positions as well after 10+ years of working
Our college has an active placement cell which has enabled students to secure internships/full time roles in top companies like DE Shaw, Deloitte, JP Morgan and several others. The job selection process is done through aptitude tests, group discussions and interviews and training workshops which boost the candidates' confidence. The highest package which students for technical/business roles have bagged is 20+ LPA and usually 80% placement guarantee
I paid 75000 for 1st year and 80000 for 2nd year (approx). Courses like Bcom industry integrated and BCom professional charge fees starting from 100000 pa subject to annual increase in 2nd and 3rd years. Like all colleges, this has a 10% increase in fees per year. Scholarship details and merit are based on 12th marks: if above 85-90% then candidates may be eligible for provisional admission. For management and SC/ST category there is a nominal fee reduction of around 5k-20k depending on the forms submitted and the approval of admission-in charge.
Culah is the annual inter-college cultural fest generally held from Jan-Feb depending on internals/industry visits scheduled for the month along with many intra-college fests as well to encourage professional development. 65+ associations here, would recommend to join as many as possible for people with diverse interests.
Personally I don't live in the hostel provided by MCC due to limited number of seats available. As per whatever I heard from hostellers, various recreational facilities are available and overall comfortable environment is provided to students. Application can be done through the college portal online itself however there are multiple PGs near the same road which are also convenient options
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
