The college is one of the most renowned one in Kerala. The college has a great campus atmosphere and vibe. The results are great and there are various programs conducted in college. The college is very green and nature friendly. It has a great library. And has some great alumini too. The infrastructure is good but not that advanced. They could make it better. And the placement too. There is no active placement cell. There are both merit based and management seat admission. Merit seat is based on the plus two mark and you should have atleast 95% to get merit seats. And for the management seat you should need atleast 85%. And in my case I got management seat through recommendation.
This is a vocational degree, so the curriculum is 60% theory and the rest practical. That's the main reason I chose this degree. It makes you professionally fit to join a company as soon as you finish your degree because you would have gained a lot of practical skills by the time you finish. The faculty are greatly qualified. Every one of them has completed both UG and PG and most of them even B.Ed in tech related courses. The faculty uses a mixed method of teaching which makes learning more interesting.
As I said our sixth semester is entirely internship. But the problem is that to get a good internship in a good company we will have to search on our own. The college does provides some internships but they are of low quality and mostly is paid. The projects will be based solely on the students discretion. As I have only reached 3rd sem I can't share an internship experience yet.
The placement is the one aspect that would make a negative impact on the college. The college provides almost no good placements. Because our course is vocational the sixth semester is entirely internship for us. And that internships too we have to find on our own if we want a good company. The recruiters are mostly small tech companies like Red team, Cyberspace, etc. The salary my seniors have got is around Rs.25000 the highest and around Rs.15000 the lowest. As for my plans I am looking on to taking a PG in either Cybersecurity or Game development after this.
The course has total six semesters and each semester has a sem fee of Rs.18,750. Which makes Rs.37,500 for a year and Rs.1,12,500 for the entire 3 year. This fee include all the fees like tuition fee, caution fees, lab fee etc. But you will have to pay around Rs.1000 every semester as exam registration fee. Because this is a self financed course there are only few scholarship available and that too for some reserved society group.
The campus life is great. It is the most beautiful aspect of the college. There are many feats held throughout the academic year. In fact each and every department has their own fests which are conducted once in a year. As for our departments fest, it is named 'Skilla' and is to be held in the next month. It is a great tech festival where even students from other colleges are allowed to participate. The library is big and has almost every book a student would need. The classrooms are equipped with smart TV's and mics. There are many extracurricular activities in the campus which any student could participate as per their interest. And sports is mostly dominated by students who gain admission through sports quota. There are many clubs like pen club, science club,Tedx farook college, movie club and nss.
As for hostel there are mainly 3 hostel for boys and 5 for girls. As for boys hostel the first one is named Iqbal and is for first year UG and PG students. The second one is ALM and is for second and third year UG students and second year PG students. Iqbal hostel has better infrastructure as it it provides wider rooms. Rooms in ALM in a little narrow. But there is fan and drinking water facility. As for the message, the food is decent and has a variety of food throughout the week. The rooms in hostels are limited so only the first ones to take admission gets the hostel. You have to apply in college for the hostel after taking the admission in college. The fees was Rs.10000 joining fees and around Rs.4000 per month for food and room.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
