- I like the nature here. Its very green here and the air is so fresh.
- I like the people here. You get to meet all the people from each of the 7 sisters. So it's very diverse here and you get to see new cultures.
Dislikes
- The hostels are the worst here. No proper washrooms, and drinking water too.
- The college has too much politics even among the students. So it's quite disappointing.
Remarks :
You get to do professional engineering course directly after 10th standard. On top of that it's in North east so the nature here is very clean and peaceful. The fees are also cheap and you get a lot of time to explore other things too along with your academic course.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculties here are indid good. But you will find some faculties who are good in teaching yet they don't give in their all since in their mind they have made up of leaving the college so that they can go to better college or other work.
Internships Opportunities :
I optep for internship in Oil India, Duliajan. It was quite fun there. Here you do get lots of opportunities for internships. You will get to do in IIT Guwahati, Oil India, or even in NEPCO Power Plant, Arunachal Pradesh. If you got to big companies for internship, you don't get to do project much, it's more like exploring the existing stuffs there in the company but if you go for internship in college like IIT Guwahati, then you get to do real project over new things.
Placement Experience :
The placements here is pretty average. They do bring big companies like Tata Projects, Vedanta Mining, OIL India Ltd. and L&T. They do bring other small non technical companies too. For placements if you are in the top 5 of your class then your life is set.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For academic the fees ranges from 4000 Rs. to 5000 Rs. per semester. This fee includes of the classrooms, teaching, gym appliances, travel charges like provision of buses, and includes the infrastructure too.
Campus Life :
The worst thing here is the hostels. For boys there are two types of hostel, i.e. Brahmaputra hostel and common boys hostel. The brahmaputra hostel is for freshers, new admissions, who will be given princess treatment for a year or something and after that boom they will drop you here at the common boys hostel. In this hostel if get a good room which rarely exist, then it's fine otherwise most of the rooms here are very bad. Broken windows, broken walls, many rooms have leaks, no proper wiring, worst toilets and bathrooms with broken doors, leaking taps and on top of this no bulbs too ????????? Even the public toilet will be better. The wardens are more like money eater fatsos.
Hostel Facilities :
Oh!! The hostel mess is more worse. No proper taste, no healthy diet, and not hygienic too. The foods are either oily or won't have any taste. The mess workers don't even put their bare minimum. If you get daal u won't even find a single grain of daal in it except the watery tasteless diarrhea like soup.

The placement opportunity is decent. Year by year more companies are getting interested in hiring students from this college. The placement opportunities are not already upto the mark but it is getting better.

Various companies comes for placement in NERIST but many of which don’t provide a proper package most number of them provide around 3-4 LPA. Since this companies are mass recruiters so more than 50% of the students gets placed

Course Curriculum Overview :
The teachers are highly qualified. And tests occour monthly and since it is first year the test and exams are very very moderate . The exam of first year is given during December after which we get a vacation for few days after which the second sem begins and its exam occur at april

I choose this course because this was the only subject I was good at it , 1st & 2nd are easy but 5th is difficult and we need to do more hard work at this sem and the faculty members are really nice and understanding

Almost all the teachers have PhD degrees except a few. They use both English and Hindi langue based on students preferences. They provide notes from standard book and also provides own well prepared notes. The exams always takes place timely, timely routine were provided.

Course Curriculum Overview :
Zoology was my subject since class 5 as I love studying this subject so I decided to took zoology as my honours in the university. All the faculty members of the university are good enough with a PhD . There held 3 sessional examination at a duration of 1month gap.

Placement Experience :
Companies start visiting for placements from 7th semester, Many top companies such as C-DOT, Deloitte, Wipro, OIL, CGI, Tech Mahindra. The highest package offered is 19 LPA, average package is 7.6 LPA. Most of the IT companies offer SDE, Analyst roles where are core companies offer GET roles for the students. I'm looking forward for the placement after getting the degree.
