I came here through KCET,it is the entrance exam for only karnataka student. The factors on which I choose this college is placement. SIT offers good placement , the average package is 7lpa.No I didn't faced any group discussions or interviews in fact I cleared the common entrance exam and through counselling I got here.
I had interest in Electronics stream and I made short list of some streams related to electronics and in 2nd round of KCET counselling I got the seat here. Each and every faculty in SIT holds phd degree and are all well educated and graduated in highly reputed universities. The teaching method of faculty is very good and very effective, but it is of more theoretical than practical this is where SIT lags, they push us to do projects but they never inserts any practical subjects in the courses. 5 months 1 sem and 2sem complete in 1 year. Semester end exams are conducted in the end of the semester. The difficulty level of exams are moderate as i am in 5th sem I still didn't experienced any tough exams.
No I still not opted for any internship, SIT gets many Internship offers many students get internships and they also get stipend for the work they will do. As I am still in 5th sem I am looking forward to join the internships soon
The placements are very good in my college, many students from different streams get places in companies. The average package is 7LPA and Student from Circuit stream can attend the IT interview too, this is the best part of the SIT Training and placement department.
The annual fee for the B.E. Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering program from which I am currently getting is 1,15,000 as per the fee structure, if admitted through KCET. The amount is the same for four years, in case one joins the same academic year. However, the ones admitted through KCET are incremented by 10% over subsequent years. For instance, my tuition will stay the same at 1,15,000 per year for the entire program, but those joining for the year after will pay a different price. This way, with this batch, I would know my exact cost, which sums up to 4,60,000 for the whole course. However, there are no scholarships available straight from SIT, which thus leaves me to seek external scholarships to fund my studies.
In SIT there are total 2 fests are conducted in the month of june Or July summer fest called " HALCYON" and in the month of November A regional fest is conducted named "SPANDANA" Kannada festival. There are many clubs in the SIT like technical clubs, theatre group, NSS. All of kind of books are available in the SIT library and journals. Fan, AC and Projector are provided in the classroom.
Since I stay in the hostel at Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT), I find the facilities well-suited for students. The mess provides only vegetarian food, which is hygienic and nutritious, with a variety of South Indian dishes served throughout the day. The hostel rooms are comfortable, with options for single, double, or triple-sharing, and are equipped with essentials like beds, cupboards, and Wi-Fi. Applying for a room was straightforward; I submitted the form during admission, and the fees include both mess and accommodation, making it convenient.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
