Overall review of BCA from IGNOU
Likes
- The college has great staff and co-operative teachers who are very skilled in their field.
- the campus is okay no comments on the campus, the infrastructure is also not that good.
Dislikes
- There are no campus placements for the students you have to find placements in your own.
- We don't have a campus of our own no fests
Remarks :
The admission process was a little hectic as you have to submit all the documents online, so it takes a little while from their side to confirm your admission.The cut off for admission in BCA is minimum 50% in 12 th with Maths as a compulsory subject. Sometimes they reject your application so in this case you can visit your nearest IGNOU regional centre and discuss your problem.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course as I wanted to become a software engineer. The teachers are very skilled and they know their job very well, lectures are conducted online as well as offline for every subjects as well as for the practicals too.The term exams are conducted in June and December and the difficulty level is way higher than other institutions so please be prepared for it .
Internships Opportunities :
I got an internship at Thomas Cook it was a three months internship with a stipend of RS 3000 per month. My work days were five days. My work was to analyse data on excel sheets as well as do IT operations.
Placement Experience :
IGNOU provides counseling for placement assistance and you can get the information through their website as well you can work for IGNOU too as an intern or full time if there are vacancies.In real they don't provide any in hand placements so you have to find on your own
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The per semester fees is RS 7000 including textbooks and excluding textbooks it is RS 6000.Scholarships are available for minority students as well as concession in fees structure as well as they can avail free books.Exam fees per subject is Rs 200 as well as practical fees per practical is Rs 200.The eligibility to enroll BCA in IGNOU is minimum 50% in 12th with Maths as a compulsory subject.My friend is from minority caste he has availed the financial aid but he hasn't got his fees back but he receives textbooks free of cost.Note that the exams Conducted by IGNOU are tougher than other institutions so you should be prepared. Minimum passing marks for 100 is 40 and for 50 is 20.You can choose a study centre which is most nearest to you where your lectures, doubt solving as well as assignment submission, project submission will be done.
Campus Life :
Speaking frankly you don't have a college as you call as you have enrolled in distance learning but you have a study centre where you can make friends.Books are received directly to your home address and If you want more books to go through you can ask the study centre for the same. Extra curricular activities are done and you can find out about it through IGNOU telegram channel official as well as their what's app channel. Students have created telegram groups what's app groups to make a friendly environment and discuss about exams projects and IGNOU students are very helpful.
Hostel Facilities :
No i didn't apply for the hostel as my house was close to the study centre but you can opt for a hostel if you want or best you can opt for PG which will be great as the hostels are not so good as well the food is not much good as much I've heard from my friends.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.

talking about placement opportunities many companies come to campus including google microsoft to core companies like texas instruments and bajaj giving a decent job opportunity. each one with a cgpa of more than 7 easily grasp job with pay of more than 12 lpa and people with decent cgpa of more than 8 grasp top jobs in the campus
