PGDAV College Admission Dates 2027

The 2027-28 admission cycle is expected to begin with CUET UG 2027. The schedule below is tentative and will depend on notifications from the NTA and the University of Delhi.

PGDAV College Courses and Fees

Students can choose from 13 undergraduate programmes and 4 postgraduate programmes in arts, commerce, science and mathematical sciences. As a government-aided DU constituent college following UGC-supported fee norms, PGDAV College has a low fee structure.

According to 2025 fee data, the INR 43,480 total for B.A., B.Com and applicable B.Sc courses consists of INR 15,730 in Year 1 and INR 13,875 in each of Years 2 and 3. The Computer Science degree costs INR 1.23 Lakhs because it includes higher laboratory and development charges. PGDAV College also offers supernumerary sports and ECA, or Extra-Curricular Activities, seats in addition to its regular intake.

PGDAV College Admission Process

Admission to PGDAV College is managed through the University of Delhi. Undergraduate applicants use CUET UG and DU CSAS, while postgraduate applicants use CUET PG and the university's postgraduate admission portal. The college does not require a separate application.

UG Admissions (B.A. / B.Com / B.Sc)

Applicants must have completed 10+2 from a recognised board and obtained a valid CUET UG score in the required subjects. DU does not apply a minimum Class 12 percentage cutoff for these allocations because seats are assigned through CUET scores.

1. Register for CUET UG and take the relevant subject tests.
2. Use the CUET score to register on the DU CSAS portal.
3. Enter college and course choices. Applicants may submit up to 100 college-programme combinations.
4. Check the seat offered during each phase of allocation.
5. Accept the allotted seat, pay the fee and complete admission confirmation.

For General Category applicants in the first 2026 allotment, the B.Com (Hons.) cutoff was 730.16 out of 800 for a four-paper CUET combination. The corresponding B.A. (Hons.) Economics cutoff was 690.67. Cutoff scores can fall in later phases when students accept seats at other colleges. DU sets separate cutoffs for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD applicants under its reservation rules.

PG Admissions (MA / M.Com / M.Sc)

Postgraduate applicants need a relevant bachelor's degree and a CUET PG score. The minimum graduation requirement is 45%, or 40% for reserved categories. M.Com applicants must hold a B.Com or an economics-related undergraduate degree. M.Sc Mathematics requires a B.Sc in Mathematics or a similar quantitative background. Where the rules allow it, applicants who earned their undergraduate degree from DU receive preference in inter-se merit, which determines the order among students with comparable merit.

PGDAV College Placements

The placement and internship cell connects final-year students with campus recruiters. The recorded median campus salary is INR 4.5 LPA, and recruiters have included Deloitte, EY, Amazon, HCL and Wipro.

Campus recruitment covers only part of the graduating class. Many students find roles through internships or continue into postgraduate study, professional qualifications and competitive examinations. Common choices include MBA, M.Com, MA and LLB courses, along with UPSC, SSC, banking and state PCS examinations.

Economics (Hons.) and B.Com (Hons.) graduates who combine strong academic results with qualifications such as CA or MBA commonly enter BFSI, consulting and corporate finance. Mathematics and Computer Science graduates also move into M.Sc, MCA or software development. NCC and NSS participation can support students preparing for Defence Services and civil service careers.

PGDAV College Rankings

In the NIRF Colleges 2025 list, PGDAV College stands at #97 among Indian degree colleges and therefore falls within the national top 100. It is also NAAC-accredited and takes part in the University of Delhi's quality benchmarking system.

The #97 result reflects performance in teaching and learning, student outcomes and outreach measures. PGDAV College awards University of Delhi degrees, which have the same equivalence as degrees from the university's other constituent colleges and are recognised nationally for education and employment. The University of Delhi itself is ranked among India's top 10 universities by NIRF.

PGDAV College Scholarships

Eligible PGDAV College students can apply for scholarship programmes run by the central and state governments. Since tuition at DU constituent colleges is low, support for books, equipment, accommodation and daily expenses can be more useful than a tuition waiver.

DU constituent colleges may nominate students for Delhi State Government merit-cum-means awards. Applications must be made directly through the NSP portal and the GNCT Delhi scholarship portal at the beginning of the academic year. For most PGDAV undergraduate students, allowances for books and equipment provide a larger benefit than tuition support because the college's fees are already low.

PGDAV College Campus and Infrastructure

PGDAV College is situated at Ring Road, Nehru Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi 110065. Students can reach the campus from Lajpat Nagar Metro Station on the Violet Line and Moolchand Metro Station on the Pink Line, providing connections to South and Central Delhi.

Facilities serving the college's 12 academic departments include a central library, internet-enabled air-conditioned computer laboratories, and science laboratories used by the Mathematics and Computer Science departments. The grounds also contain sports courts, a gymkhana and separate common rooms. Students can join active NCC and NSS units, while the annual cultural festival attracts participants from other DU colleges.

There is no college hostel. Students who do not live in Delhi generally rent rooms or use paying guest accommodation in nearby Nehru Nagar, Lajpat Nagar or Defence Colony.

PGDAV College vs Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College vs Sri Venkateswara College

PGDAV College, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College in Dwarka and Sri Venkateswara College in South Delhi are common choices during DU CSAS preference filling. Each is a UGC-recognised, NIRF-ranked constituent college of the University of Delhi and uses CUET for undergraduate and postgraduate entry.

Commerce and humanities have traditionally been prominent at PGDAV College. Sri Venkateswara College, located in South Delhi near IIT Delhi, is known for its science courses. DDU College is the newest of the three and its Dwarka location may suit students travelling from West Delhi. Their government-aided DU status gives all three a comparable fee structure. When applicants have CUET scores in the same range, location and NIRF position often become the main points of comparison, while subject choices and CUET marks determine the college offered through CSAS.
