With the motto “Lead me from Darkness to Light” Satyawati College was established in 1972. This college is a constituent college of University of Delhi. The College has been accredited by ‘A grade’ by NAAC in 2016. The college is under the Delhi Government and offers UG in Arts, Commerce, and science. The college also provides a master’s degree in political science. In total, the college provides 12 UG and PG courses taught by 150 highly experienced professors. Other than the regular course, short-term certification and diploma courses are provided. Along with the regular timing, evening shift classes are also offered in this college.

Satyawati College Admissions
Admission to Satyawati College is purely based on merit. The cut-offs for each subject are published by Delhi University. Admission is generally completed in the month of May- June. Admission in PG course can be done by Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) for some courses.
How to apply?
- After the publication of the cut-off list the candidates need to visit the official website of DU. New users have to make an account and existing users can log in with the required credentials.
- Applicants will have to choose the course and college they wish to get admission to (applicants can only choose colleges they are eligible for). They can choose one college and one course.
- After verification from the Course, in-charge/Teacher in-charge admission will be approved by the Principal.
- If seats are not filled, the next cut-offs will be published, and admission will occur in the same manner.
- After confirmation of admission, all students need to complete their online verification of documents by respective colleges.

Satyawati College Placements
The placement cell of Satyawati College is called ‘Saksham’ and it is actively responsible for the internships and placement drive organised within the campus. Students of all 3 years is eligible for internships. Internships can be both paid or non-paid. On average paid internship stipend amount is somewhere between INR 10,000- INR 15,000 per month.
The placement cell arranges for placement for students from different departments. 15-20 companies visit the college. Average package offered to students at the time of placement are INR 3-4 LPA.

- The Late Ms. Jaswant Kaur Memorial Prize:This scholarship is instituted by her daughter. Dr. Inderjeet Kaur and is presented to SC/ST Girl Student of Political Science (Hons.) who scores above 55% marks.
