Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College (BRAC) became a constituent college of the University of Delhi on 8 February 1991, during Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth centenary year. Funded by the Delhi Government, it is recognised and affiliated with the University of Delhi under the UGC framework. The college also holds NAAC accreditation.
The college occupies a 9-acre campus at Yamuna Vihar, Shahdara, Northeast Delhi, close to Gokulpuri Metro Station on the Pink Line. Its 13 teaching departments serve 1,650 undergraduate students, supported by 88 faculty members.
BRAC is the only Delhi University college that offers Social Work Honours for boys. Its undergraduate courses follow DU’s NEP 2020 curriculum, with Honours degrees offered through the four-year undergraduate programme (FYUP):

CUET UG and DU CSAS Process
Undergraduate seats at BRAC are allotted centrally through the University of Delhi’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). Students must take CUET UG, which is organised by the National Testing Agency (NTA), and receive a normalised score in the required subject papers. BRAC does not offer direct college admission or a management quota.

BRAC Career Outcomes
BRAC does not run the type of conventional campus placement programme commonly found at engineering or MBA institutions. After graduation, students generally move into postgraduate study, prepare for competitive examinations, or seek work related to their degree.
Economics and Business Economics graduates may apply to Delhi School of Economics, JNU, and other central universities for postgraduate study. Their employment paths include finance, public policy, and banking. B.Com Hons students often prepare for CA Foundation, CMA Foundation, MBA entrance tests, and bank recruitment examinations.
Students completing Applied Psychology may enter counselling, corporate HR, or mental health support work, while many continue to an MSc or MA in Psychology or Social Work. Hindi Journalism and Mass Communication graduates can seek roles with print and digital media organisations, advertising agencies, Doordarshan, and AIR. The Social Work Honours course prepares students for opportunities in NGOs, government welfare departments, and international development organisations.

BRAC Campus and Infrastructure
BRAC is located on Wazirabad Road in Yamuna Vihar, Shahdara, Northeast Delhi. Gokulpuri Metro Station on the Pink Line is the nearest metro stop to its 9-acre campus, providing connections to other parts of Delhi NCR.
The library contains more than 35,000 books from different departments and subscribes to newspapers and periodicals. Students can use four computer laboratories equipped with fibre optic connectivity. The campus also provides a 250-seat seminar hall, a conference room, a medical centre, a canteen, and a Punjab National Bank branch with an ATM.
The college has one of the five shooting ranges available among Delhi University colleges. Its other sports facilities support hockey, basketball, football, badminton, cricket, chess, and judo. NCC and NSS programmes are active on campus, while Chetna is the annual flagship cultural festival.

As i am from commerce stream so i decided to go for B.com (H). Initially, when i got into the college i like the structure and environment of the college and on first day of my college i took a tour of my college which was good and tiring also but as the time passes the problem of drinking water and cleanliness was faced for some time which was fixed by the authorities later on. the faculty of the college was also good and their teaching methods also nice except some professors which did nothing in the classroom they just came and sit in the class and just engage themselves in their phones, or they came for class after 30-40 minutes and took attendance and pass some reality check speeches and left. in my 2nd year i faced a teacher for 2 semesters who never take classes just share some yt links and said, "go through the videos" and told a student to take the attendance and DONE! rest are very good and supportive also. And the exam period was not very good at that time.

I was pursuing CA so idecide to do B.Com (H) which helped in each other cources. Each faculty was highly qualified and expirenced in their subjects. Most of them were PHD. Term exams held twice a year and datesheet was provided by the university itself. Most of the questions were from past 10 year questions booklet.

I'm from commerce background thats why I choose this course because this is one of the best course for commerce students. Teaching methods of teachers are very very good experienced teachers. Course Curriculum Overview:
The college is very interesting and very educational. I could not say the same about the faculty. The faculty for the first year especially is very rude, very disinterested and not helpful. Some teachers for the second year are very good and helpful but it depends on luck. There are 2 exams for the year, one for each semester and the difficulty was average. Other than that there are regular test and assessment for internal marks. External practicals also are conducted before each semester end exam.
Placement Experience:
The placement and job opportunities for the college are slim to none. So one shouldn't keep much expectations. However, there is a placement cell as well as a entrepreneurship cell. So people might apply for these clubs and grab the opportunities they can.
