Vivekananda College follows the University of Delhi framework for its undergraduate and postgraduate courses. DU sets the fees, which are uniform across its government-aided colleges. The amounts listed here apply to General category students.

Every 3-year UG course has the same fee pattern. Students pay INR 16,600 in the first year, including the one-time admission charge, followed by INR 14,100 in each of the second and third years. The yearly tuition component is INR 14,100.

Vivekananda College Admission Process

Admission routes differ by course level. CUET UG and DU CSAS (UG) apply to BA, B.Com, B.Sc and B.P.Ed programmes. M.A. Hindi and M.A. Sanskrit applicants use CUET PG and DU CSAS (PG). Certificate and diploma students apply directly to Vivekananda College for college-level selection.

Vivekananda College admits women to its UG courses through the NTA-conducted CUET UG and the University of Delhi Common Seat Allocation System. Applicants must have completed 10+2 from a recognised board.

The UG process follows these steps:

Competition varies by course and allocation round. For the Unreserved category, the B.Com (Hons.) Round 1 CUET cutoff in 2026 was 731.86 out of 800, while B.A. (Hons.) Applied Psychology closed at 758.09 in Round 1. The B.Com (Hons.) score fell to 673.66 by Round 4 as the allocation process progressed.

M.A. Hindi and M.A. Sanskrit

Applicants need an undergraduate degree in the relevant subject from a recognised university. They must take the NTA-conducted CUET PG, after which the DU CSAS PG portal manages programme allocation. Vivekananda College does not hold a separate entrance test or interview for these M.A. courses.

Certificate and Diploma Courses

Journalism, Spoken English, Translation and Legal Awareness certificate courses, along with the Diploma in German Language, use direct college applications. Admission depends on merit and seat availability. Students may study these short-duration courses alongside regular degree programmes.

Vivekananda College Career Pathways

Vivekananda College concentrates on classroom teaching and does not organise a formal campus placement season. After graduation, students choose further education, competitive examinations or professional work according to their individual plans.

BA (Hons.) and B.Com (Hons.) graduates commonly follow these routes:

• Further study: MA, MBA, M.Com, LLB or M.Sc at DU or another university through examinations such as CUET PG, CLAT and CAT.
• Civil services: UPSC CSE, Delhi Judicial Services and State PSC examinations.
• Banking and SSC recruitment: IBPS, SBI PO or Clerk, SSC CGL and SSC CHSL.
• Teaching: B.Ed followed by work in schools or coaching roles.
• Corporate and media work: Entry-level positions in finance, marketing, journalism and NGOs.

A DU undergraduate degree from the college is recognised for postgraduate admission and eligibility for competitive examinations. Its East Delhi location and commerce and humanities courses also make it a commuting option for students living in the region.

Vivekananda College Campus and Infrastructure
