The teaching here is amazing. The faculty take great care to help you reach your full potential. The college does not have a specific admission process as much as i know because i did not go through an exam in order to get into the college and there was no interview.
I chose this course because i wanted to work on my marketing skills in order to further my studies and ultimately have a good job. the faculty are well qualified. They take good attention to the students and teach them other skills including what is in the syllabus. They sometimes teach the students about life experiences to help them gain awareness on the real world. the term exams were timely and help a great deal to prepare for the semester exams as the questions in the term exams were made after predicting the questions that would appear in the semester exam.
I have opted for an internship in an NGO company which is named "IYFS: Indian Youth for Society" for short term internship. The college provided us with an internship opportunity at "Profi Marker" for our long term internship where they taught us how to work in a controlled environment and to improve our computer skills. They had given us a project to create a Linkedin account and to update our resume. They also gave us different tasks to improve our skills like creating a power point presentation, writing emails, creating excel spreadsheets, etc., The role offered to us by the company was clerk. It was a paid internship and many of us were taken in by the company as employees.
The eligibility criteria for placement would be to be able to pass the interview conducted by the faculty and to be able to graduate with good GPA. There were a couple campus placement conducted in our time to help us get into the field which helped us a great amount to work on our communication and group discussion skills. There was a recruiter named, honeybee that came to the college to recruit freshers and also another BPA which came to recruit some freshers. The highest package that was given to a bachelor's student would be around 5 LPA and that is the starting job. the average package was 2.5 LPA. There were about 90% students getting placements in good companies. I plan to do my MBA before looking for a job.
i paid a fee of 40,000 a year and there is a scholarship opportunity. To avail this opportunity the student will either have to be a from a family of white card holders or he must have to apply for a college according to their 12th grade gpa and they will mostly approve to go to this college unless the seats are full.
The fest that is conducted in samata is called "Disha". It was and is conducted close to january every year. It is an amazing time to socialize with the classmates and the faculty and have fun. The event is conducted by the students and is supported by the faculty. There are many books in the library on how to improve your skill in the field and many magazines and other books to self improve. The classrooms are very neat and tidy with benches and other important amenities such as projectors. There is a sports period every Saturday in which we can go out into the ground and we would be given time to play as physical exercise is very important. We have a Whatsapp group with the faculty for them to be able to easily update us on what has been happening and give us some tasks to finish in order to upgrade our skills. There is another group for just the student in which they update each other on the things that happened in class.
I did not opt for a hostel and the college does not provide a hostel facility. although, there were friends of mine who lived in a hostel nearby and they say the food was not bad and the accommodation was great and helped them to be near the college so that they could come and go everyday.
Those students who are in 5th semister are eligible for campus placements. Around 70-80% students are placed every year in top reputed companies with decent salary. I received placement offer from TCS . That was because of placement cell of Ashoka.
The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.
Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.
The average annual hostel fee is around Rs. 48,000 per student (or roughly Rs. 3,000 - 4,000 per month. The campus offers separate hostels for boys and girls with furnished rooms. Students note that the rooms are kept tidy, well-lit, and offer options for both single and shared occupancy.
In my college, the highest package is 35lpa and lowest package is 2lpa. Many companies was visited to my college for placement like tech Mahindra, Infosys, auto desk. Coming to the placements, their was many competition to get the offer.
Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.
Students generally are eligible for placements after completion of 3rd year. Top companies like amazon, Accenture, Infosys, paypal, TCS, etc offered placements last year with offers in range of 5-15 . Highest package is 44 LPA and average package is 9 LPA. Percentage of students placed is in the range of 70%-80%. I am planning to prepare for Bank exams after completion of graduation.
Job opportunities are countless for the students who are skilled. Both software and core jobs placements can be observerved in a wide range. Many multi national companies like deloitte, infosys, snovasys, TCS, Accenture are tied up with the campus for conducting drives.
