No college attendance, flexible exams and studying at my own pace, smooth admission and documentation processes, no students and teachers politics. And most importantly, the field knowledge I could avail through flexibility of university.
Course curriculum is not so easy, but interesting and easy to comprehend. You will never question why am I studying this. You will have classes every weekend that will be optional for you to attend, where you can ask your doubts or totally skip. Term exams are held right when they are said, and exams dates are initially tentative but never change 2 weeks before the exams. Exams are very easy, I passed mostly by studying a night or two nights before.
I've opted for a year long internship as a journalist with online women's website SheThePeopleTV as an student journalist in the editorial team. I have had many other freelancing opportunities as a writer because of my on-going degree in English. Distance education and no college attendance gave me extra chances to avail these opportunities.
For English courses no placements are offered by the caption. However, the free time in your hands as there is no college to attend can allow you to gain internships and job experiences so that you can apply to different profiles once you're graduated as an experienced candidate.
1st year fees: 4,500 rs 2nd year fees: 4,500 rs 3rd year fees: 5000 rs Examination fees depending on your subjects (usually 8-9 subjects per year) you have to pay examination fees seperately (200 rs per subject). Please note, my course does not have practical subjects.
While Distance Education's one drawback could be no friends or connectivity to students to ask your doubts for exams, assignments, and forms. However, there are many Telegram and Reddit groups of IGNOU specific courses that has been very helpful. Your Regional Centres will also be very helpful. However, I've heard some people complaining about not availing course books or e-books on time, but I have personally never experienced such issues. My books always arrived on time.
There's no campus, however your regional centres are usually cooperative. One does not have to move out for hostels as regional centres of IGNOU are present even in few rural regions of the country.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
