- The hostels are nice. The faculty is super helpful. The campus life gives you opportunity to try out everything.
- I love my campus life. It's pretty much whaf i imagined my college life to be like.
Dislikes
- Tbh,there's nothing i dislike . Sure,there could be some improvements here and there. But there's nothing majorly missing.
Remarks :
I got into BITS through BITSAT. I chose BITS because it's a tier 1 college and i was not able to get into good NITs/IITs through JEE. Also i was getting the 3rd most preferred branch here- electrical and electronics engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculties are pretty qualified. The academic structure could be better though. Almost all of our faculties are graduates from foreign universities/IITs. Also,they are super helpful. You can visit their chamber anytime ,just drop them an email.
Internships Opportunities :
I got a summer internship at the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission through my college. It was purely based on my CG . All the PS centres release some.CG criteria. Although, the college take a fees of about 80,000 from you for bringing in more than 400 companies for PS 1.
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship opportunities are adequate. Almost the companies that come to the top IITs and NITs come to BITS too. There's PS 1 internship at the end of your 2nd year ,and PS2 internship, summer internship at the end of your 3rd year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The per semester fees is approximately 300000,which includes everything. 12,000 in this fees is kept aside for your extra expenses in college, for which you don't pay from your pocket, it's just deducted from the 12,000 from your fees. The amount you have left from this 12,000 is forwarded to pay your next semester's fees. There's MCN scholarship for students who's yearly income is less than a certain amount. You are given the scholarship based on your CGPA. Other than that,fees is the same for all.
Campus Life :
We have 0 attendance policy, unlike other colleges that have 75% attendance policy, this is greatly appreciated. Also,we have a lot of liberty on campus, plus,there's no in time in hostels. There are clubs and departments for almost every activity you can imagine. You can even start a new club if you have enough people for it. I'll say the campus culture really provides a good opportunity for overall development, not just academics.
Hostel Facilities :
Every student is alloted a hostel room . We don't have day Scholars since the college is outside the city. There are 2 messes . A student can opt for either of them. In the first and second year,you have to live in a shared room with a roommate, and from the 3rd year onwards, you get your own personal room . The rooms are pretty spacious . All hostels have adequate and clean washrooms,a common room on each floor , and a common lawn.

The campus placements are good and there are companies coming in every year for fresh talent but it all comes down to our talent. We are provided with an opportunity but we have to work for it ourselves.

Placements and Internships The placement opportunities at my college are average, with a limited number of companies visiting the campus every year. Students who maintain a good academic record and possess strong technical and communication skills have better chances of getting placed. Generally, students with no active backlogs and a minimum academic percentage as specified by the recruiting company are eligible to participate in campus placements. A few recruiters visit the college for hiring, mainly for entry-level roles in software, IT support, and core engineering domains. However, the number of offers is limited, and only around 40–50% of students secure campus placements. The average salary package offered ranges from ?3–4 LPA, while the highest package varies depending on the company and the student's performance. The college also encourages students to apply for paid internships, which help them gain practical industry experience and improve their technical skills

I am still in my second year, so I havent sat for placements yet. But the college starts preparing us early with coding practice, projects, aptitude training, resume building sessions, and mock interviews. FRom interacting with seniors, I have heard that students who stay consistent with their skills get good opportunities

From the early semesters we are encouraged to build projects, improve our coding skills, and create a strong resume. That gives us enough time to prepare instead of rushing later. I feel the support is there throughout the journey, the more effort you put in, the more you can benefit from these opportunities.

From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.
