I chose this college because it has more certificate value than KTU and KU colleges as CUSAT is affiliated with NAAC and NBA accreditation. Placement are less in Mechanical but not bad, if you have the capability you can get placed. I wrote and entrance named CAT to get admission in this college. It is the only way through which we can get admission here. No interviews will be there but Certificate Verification will be there.
Course Curriculum is similar to all the other colleges but campared to KTU and KU colleges we have more to study. Faculties are OK and will help us if we have some doubts at any time. But they are not that much friendly especially in mechanical department. Almost all the faculties are highly qualified and very well experienced. Each semester will be of 6 months but we usually get only 3 months and the 4th month will be exam. Difficulty level is moderate. If you start studying a week before the exams also, you can easily pass
I have done internship without stipend in KSRTC as well as In Cochin Shipyard. If you are doing an NPTEL course along with the studies you can get stipend interships at different companies and IIT'S. I'm starting my projects this year. Basically I'm doing two projects one is the GOKART and another one is the HYPERLOOP.
Placement are there but not that much placements for Mechanical Engineering. Computer Engineering and Fire & safety engineering have high placements. Eligibility criteria for placements is there should not be any back papers while you are applying for the placement and minimum you should have CGP of 7.5. In this year 7 companies came till now and a lot more to come, Some of them are Federal bank, Daikin, Tata consultancy, Shobha constructions, Reliance etc. Highest package for a mechanical student till now is 12 lakhs per annum and the average is 8 lakhs per annum. I'm opting for higher studies and that's my plan as of now.
Fees increased in the last year. When I joined I was only 29000 but now its 33000per semester for the State merit and for All india merit it is upto 53000 per semester. State merit and All india merit is decided by you birth state. If you are a Kerala citizen you can get States merit. I don't have to pay any fees because I have a reservation of OEC and I'm getting egrants from the Government to pay the Fees. So you can avail any reservation quotas if any
Dhishna was the main tech fest which was conducted by the college but due to the tragic incident that happed last year, almost all the fests were stopped. But now the fests are coming back lightly. A library is available at the college with a lots of journals and books and if you need more you can just use the University library which contains a wide verity of journals and all. Sports fests, Arts fests are happening every year, this year also it happened. Al lots of clubs are there like NSS, IGBC, and a large number of tech clubs also. So if you are looking for some exposure this will be a fine place.
I have opted the Hostel. Accommodation in the Hostels are sanctioned according to the reservation and distance to hometown. Students with reservation and a long distance to the hometown are given more priority. Hostel mess is so good, Food there is nice as it is run by the students only so of course food will be good (Sahara Hostel). Hostel registration are done yearly and can be done by registering through the cusat hostels website. Hostels and so cheap. Many rooms and private hostels are there nearly by within 1km radius from the college. So if you don't get an accommodation in the Hostel, you can opt for that.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
